How to remove heater core in a 2000 nissan quest van
This is a BIG job, involving discharging the ac system, removing the dash, then removing the HVAC box and opening it to get to the heater core. Strongly recommend getting a Haynes or Chilton manual to have step-by-step guidance. Having another person helping will also ease the work, but expect to spend a lot of time to do this job.

COST OF OIL CHANGE, DISTRIBUTOR CAP, SPARK PLUGS AND STARTER
oil change = 39.95 w/coupon (jiffy lube) +10 for filter
starter cost= 105$ plus an 1.5 hr labor to install + 15$ core charge
cap/wires/plugs = 110$ plus hour of labor to install
labor is typically 90 to 110 an hour
yes cars are expensive to maintain
its allways a good idea for one to develop a trusting relationship with there autos mechanic , if you don't feel you can trust them you need to find one that you can , ask questions , ask to see old parts , any mechanic that's honest/good in his work will show you those parts and even explain what they do

Why does my 2000 Nissan Quest emits humming sound when engine run
Most likely, that is the sound of the FUEL PUMP. If the car is running well, don't worry about it. Try changing your fuel filter to see if that helps (usually does).
If you have trouble with fuel delivery at high speeds or under load, suspect that your fuel pump is about to fail.

Headlight control modular
Hi Paul- it's located under the instrument panel, behind the center console panel on the driver's side- slightly to the right of the accelerator pedal.

Tps on nissan quest makes loud noise when accelerates
As I look at your letter, which is very good, I might add, here are the few things that occurred to me. The "loud squealing" should be a belt. You have one or several belts, and if they get loose, or are worn out ( that includes the belt rubber getting old and hard) they will squeal like that. However, the squealing also may be coming from one of the pulleys the drive belt or belts are attempting to turn. If you have a bad bearing in one of the pulleys, you can get that loud sound like " a train".If you are really careful, a "mechanic's stethoscope" might help you. That is to take a really long screwdriver, and put the tip on each of the pumps or base of each pulley, and the handle end to your ear, and you can hear the bad bearing "scream" with the engine running.Be blessed.
