I have a 1995 Ford F250 that keeps going out on

Hello, I had a client with a similar problem and they had a high voltage leak from a coilpak or sparkplug. It seems that the pickup sensor could not handle stray high voltage in the engine. Most likely when the spark jumps, it kills the pickup sensor.

You might try using a grounded wire and run the end over all the connections and coil-pak to see if spark will jump. You also may be able to see the spark jumping in the dark with the motor running, once you install another sensor.

What I remember is that the sensor was the weak link and the problem was the other high voltage parts shorting it out. Even though you have the F250, the problem happens in F150's too. There are some Forums like F150ownersForum.com and a few 4Wheeling sites which have question and answer services. Try Browser search with question stated as "Pick-up sensor in distributor keeps going out" and variations to get hits for your info.

It can also be a grounding issue where another component is trying to ground through your sensor. If you test the other old sensors you may find that the ground terminals are fried in every failed unit.

Wish I could be more specific, but your problem can be any open wire or bad ground that operates with the engine running. I hope my solution is helpful and would like to know what you found wrong.

I have f-250 diesel. keeps blowing fuse #22,glow

You should start with the glow plug relay/timer.Check it to see if may be shorted.Remove the smaller wires going to it and turn the key back on,if the fuse does'nt blow then replace it,if it does then you need to unplug the fuel preheater in the filter housing and try the key on thing again, pretty sure it's one or the other.

It sounds like the modulator valve might be bad since it has been sitting. If not might be a sensor problem in the trans. Then, will have to take to a reputable trans. shop to have scanned.

I need to know where

Hello Maria.

The module on your Ford is under the hood, on the inside of the drivers side fender back near the firewall.
It is mounted in a heat sink that absorbs the heat generated by the module.

If you are planning on replacing it, after you remove it from the heat sink, clean the mounting surface to allow proper heat transfer.
Most new modules will come with a silicone grease to be applied on this surface to aid in the heat transfer and keep it from corroding.

Here is a diagram of it's location.

Thank you.
