1996 Dodge Neon check engine light is on Does it

An erase feature on an OBD-II Scanner for 1996 and up domestic vehicles from Sears, Walmart, or your local auto parts store will erase the code if the code is set and after the cause of the code setting is repaired. It doesn't come on to reminds you of oil changes. That would be another light if present on your car.

The dashboard odometer, gas, MPH,

Nope, not a fuse. The instrument cluster is either bad or the contact (plug in the back) is bad. This is a common problem for Chrysler's and Mitsubishis. Try wiggling the face of the speedometer and pushing it backwards (towards the front of the vehicle) with the key on and in the run position. But not started. You can also try hitting the dash above the steering wheel a few times But don't hurt yourself or break anything. I've recommended and done it many times. As silly as it sounds, it really does work. Then look into getting a new/used instrument cluster.
Please rate this answer after trying it. If not, I hope I helped.

Battery is dead everyday

You either have a bad battery or a bad alternator. Most alternator shops and Advance auto parts store will check both for free. It is possible for an alternator to charge the battery while the car is running but kill it when it is switched off because of a bad diode in the alternator.

American manufactured. there are no reversing

The circuit is simple, so unless the wire is cut, it can only be fuse 8 or the interlock. If you have a manual transmission, there is a switch on the transmission that looks like the picture below. remove the connector, connect the 2 terminals inside the connector using a large paper clip or wire, then turn the key on. If the lights come on, replace the switch.

If you have an automatic, the switch is integrated into the transmission range sensor on top of the transmission.

I recently installed a new ignition coil to my

Seems like a resistor or wire leading to the ignition coil may be at fault.

There's a primary and secondary coil in an ignition coil. And, if the coil isn't getting power, then there's no way for the secondary coil to deliver the spark to the spark plugs.

You may want to take it to an auto electric shop if you have trouble tracing why the wire doesn't have power at the primary coils of the ignition coil.
