How do I measure the bolt pattern for a 2005 dodge ram 1500

To measure the bolt pattern of any Rim for any vehicle You measure from the center of the Stud across diaganally to another stud and if that measure ment is 5 1/2 inches or 4 1/2 inches whatever the tape measure says then your bolt Pattern is the number of Studs by the measurement which means for example 5 X 5.5 that's your bolt patter and if they ask for hub that's the round center hole of the rim You measure from inside across to inside edges so if it's 4 inches that's your hub. good luck.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 Engine. Starts fine, Idles fine, but when engine shifts into high gear and RPM lowers engine runs really rough under load

Have you checked for a broken valve spring. Repaired a dodge engine with the same running issue as you have described and it was a broken intake valve spring.

I have a 2005 dodge 1500 5.7 hemi it will not turn over but I can run a ground wire from the battery to the motor and it starts but surges and a lighting bolt light flashes in the dash what is wrong

You need to get a good heavy ground wire from the battery to the engine and not on the exhaust manifold. Then you need a good number 10 wire from the engine to the body. Now the factory did this but you have some corroded connections or damaged wires.

Battery goes dead after one day why

One of two things. 1 The battery is defunct. A dead cell will cause the battery to not keep the charge supplied by the alternator. This will be your number one suspect, have a service agent check your battery. 2 Something is draining the battery. To trace this, take off one of the battery terminals and place an ammeter between the battery terminal and the cable you just loosened. Make sure the meter is switched to its maximum amp reading, else you could blow the meter. If all the systems are switched off, there should be no reading on the meter. The security system will probably drain a small amount of power, so there could be a small reading, but anything more that 0.2 amp will indicate a problem. If you have a current drain, you have to scout the source of the problem, such as the light in the boot not turning off (remove the bulb to check this), or any accessory, especially aftermarket accessories, that could cause current drain. Happy hunting!

Hi there, sounds like an intermittent connection in the cluster assembly. This analog guages? Cluster comes out in one piece, turn over, carefully check connection "pins" which crack due to vibrations and shocks to the system. This is a common problem, some clusters are easy to remove, some not so lucky.
Could be a connection or harness leading to/from the computer and cluster. Good luck.

I have a 2005 dodge 5.7 litre Hemi. During the cold months in WI it doesn't want to turn over and start. I recently put in a new battery ( high end) and that does nothing. Any thoughts?

Check all the ground wires, possibly upgrade most Dodges have pretty weak grounding wires as do most domestics in general, American wiring just isnt as good as the Japs or Europeans. Also check the cables going to your starter. Make sure to check the hot and the ground on this one.

Have a 05 dodge 1500 the 4x4 switch an overhead console leds quit working an keeps blowing the fuse as soon as i put it in

Odd that your vehicle runs both systems on the same circuit and with only a 10 amp fuse. I'd try a 20 amp fuse to see if that works. Worth a shot, it shouldn't harm anything.

Why will my truck not start after whirling new tail light assembly

I assume that is a typo and should read "wiring." As I see it, there can only be two possible explanations. 1) Electrical or 2) Coincidence. Regarding electrical, if this is the cause, you probably disconnected something and either did not reconnect it at all or reconnected it improperly. Check all connections. Another possibility if you did not disconnect the battery before rewiring the tail light assembly, is you may have made a short circuit and blown a fuse. Check your fuse box for blown fuses. Lastly, if you did disconnect your battery before doing the job, you may have forgotten to reconnect it.

I heard one POP when turning my Dodge Ram to the left

I would check your front drive axles. I am assuming it is 4wd. You may have an axle that the rubber boot has ripped on and got water into. Bearings and water do not mix. The axle will need replace. (Do both at the same time). Good Luck

Trouble code po700 dodge 1500

Many vehicles have a control module for the automatic transmission called a transmission control module (TCM). The engine control module (ECM) communicates with the TCM to monitor the automatic transmission for faults. If the TCM detects a fault in the automatic transmission and sets a transmission related fault code, the ECM is informed of this also and sets a P0700 in the ECM memory. This illuminates the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) to let the driver know there is a problem. If this code is present and the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is illuminated that basically means there is at least one transmission code set in the TCM's memory. P0700 is an informational code only. It doesn't point to a direct fault in the engine, only a general fault in the transmission. More diagnosis is necessary to identify what the transmission fault is. This requires a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission module.

My dodge ram 2005 1500 hemi smells like gas when I

I'm not sure you would smell a fuel leak from the tank while driving, the tank is located to the rear of the cab, under the bed on the driver's side, you may however have a leak in or near the engine compartment. If this is the case, yes a fire is possible. If you smell fuel when you come to a stop, it may be your fuel cannister, or vent lines are leaking which should trigger a check engine light. While the engine is running, Check the fuel rails and schrader valves on both sides of the engine manifold for leaks. You can also turn the key to the "RUN" position (do not start the engine.) this will cycle the fuel pump to run for a few seconds to pressurize the fuel system, and you can then check for a fuel leak. I hope this is helpful to you.
