I have a 2003 Buick

if the starter is going out it will do exactly as you are describing, but that does not necessarily mean the starter is the issue. if you know where the starter is located something you can try is tap the starter a few times with a hammer use firm taps, but don't beat the stew out of it, then try to start the car usually it will work. normally the starter fails to start because the brushes inside it over time wear down and begin to stick the tapping of the hammer will usually free them temporarily and allow the car to start.

My speedometer lights are no

Try and check your dash light fuse first. If that doesn't help, you might have a loose wire or a bad wire in the electrical circuit. You will need a voltage meter to test the wires. It might be in your light switch also. The only way to tell is by testing the wires. If you need anything else, let me know. I am here to help. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

My 2003 buick lesabre security

The problem might be your Vats security system. This causes the car to either "not start" or "shut down" while running, or start for 5 seconds and then die. (depending on the system) If the security light flashes, i guarantee that this is what the problem is. 1st trick, (if not starting) turn the key forward 2 clicks till right before it would normally start, leave like that for 10 minutes. ( no less ) After 10 minutes, turn key back then forward and your car might start. I did this in my regal for more than a year. If its shuting down while running, im sorry i have no quick fix...

Cheap fix: Bypass the chip in your key. Temporary, but effective. Until the TDM (theft deterrent module) in the dash poops out, then you're kinda screwed. I was told that these types of key security systems have a 7-10 year life span. Sucks for us. This link explains the "Key Issue" pretty well.
----- http://vats.likeabigdog.com/

Never worry again fix: Bypass the whole VATS/Passlock/passkey I or passkey II system entirely. Literally take it out, and throw it away. I just did this in my Regal. Took about an hour. Took longer to find the thing than it did to fix the problem. For a list of cars effected by this problem. See the NEWROCKIES link on the right side of their page......... They sell a unit for 200 bucks to totally bypass this system FOREVER. life time-money back and all that. Finally did this in my car. Well worth the 200 if you've looked into getting this replaced... Anywhere from 600-1000 bucks.

----- With this fix, you can take that whole Vats, passlock, passkey **** system out of your car all together. Good info on both sites

My heated seats stoped working. Both fuses checked

I had the exact same problem.

the solution / problem was under both seats.

i looked at the wires under both seats, and they had all been severed / stretched / broken.

it seems they had gotten caught up on something, and as the seat was moved forward and backward, they just snapped.
I wired them back up, and everthing worked.

Have a look under your seat with a flashlight and examine all the wires.

let me know if this helps you out.

Head lights wil not go on

If you have already checked the bulbs to make sure they have not burned out, then go to he fuse panel inside the car and check all fuses for blown fuse. Next open the hood and find the fuse box. Using your owners manual or the schematic on the fuse box, locate the fuses and relays for the headlights. Visually inspect the fuses. The relays will have to be swapped with a relay from another position to see if it is bad. There my also be relays on the firewall. Especially look for relays that are identified with the letters HDM. If you find HDM fuses/relays, swap them around to see if the lights will come on. .
