1995 Buick Regal - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Drove my 95 regal into 24" of water about 3mph and it died why
Intake for engine air filter for most vehicles are localocated in fender wells. You probably just put water into your engine where its not supposed to go. In my experience your paper air filter got wet and now will not let enough air to pass through it. If you have sucked water into your intake then you might want to take it to a mechanic. Off the record, pull the filter when your not in a puddle. Try cranking a little and if its not struggling you might have gotten lucky. Dry what you can and try to start it. Make take a few extra turns of the key but if it starts you should replace airfilter and get an oil change to remove excess water. If not lucky your engine will not crank because engine full of water and water does not compress in an engine. I have helped people on side of road/street river and helped them start car and drive away. If your stuck and have some tools you can pull plugs crank engine without the plugs in and water shoots out of plugs. Dry plugs and reinstall. Try to crank without wet filter and you might get lucky. All of this is a suggestion that I have personally recommend if you can't get proper help and are in a pinch. macgyver mechanics are not recommended but can save your behind when your in a grind.

I have a 95 Buick Regal.It makes a noise when
it depends what kind of noise, if its a licking noise the pulleys that the belt is being turned by could be bad (belt tensioner pulley ,Idler pulley etc.) if its a squealing sound like a high pitched whistle or like a rubber heal screeching on a tile floor constantly the belt is no good there is fabric on the inside of the belt and when it wears away you will get the chirp or squealing /screeching sound from this. inspection of that belt will tell you look at the grooves if looks like shiny rubber you found it if it doesn't and the fabric is there then a pulley is the problem bad bearing can make the belt slip resulting in the squealing good luck LATER MAN!

Ticking coming and going
Many older vehicles will do this when first started. If yours didn't do it before changing the oil but does now you may want to replace the oil filter with another or better quality one. Sometimes oil filters do their job too well and restrict oil flow.
