My overdrive light is flashing

If your overdrive light is flashing, it is trying to tell you that there is a transmission failure. You will have to scan your powertrain control module to find out what is wrong.

Crown Vic 2005. Driver side window won't work, up or down. Rear passenger window on driver side works down with the master control but won't roll back up. Rolls up only with rear door control. Why?

This is most often caused by a bad master switch on the driver's side. It's the one that's used most often and most exposed to rain. Also, all the window wiring runs through the master switch, so if there's a fault it can affect multiple windows. See this post on window issues.https://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/window-goes-up-but-not-down/

2005 crown victoria sport lx 4.6. Was idling along

Electronic's ,go figure .. Not all gliches set code's . Could be any number of thing's - sensor's , modules etc..... A professional Tech would have trouble finding what was wrong , even with profession diagnostic test equipment , scanners etc..... It would be better if it died an wouldn't start back up . Check for TSB'S - technical service bulletins. Check battery an connection's , loose wire's for sensor's etc... engine . That's about all you could do. Hooking up a professional scan tool an checking engine sensor data inputs to the PCM - engine computer . There maybe a bulletin for a reflash of the PCM . 002 Fuel System Tests Start Here

Crown vic trunk release doesn't work

Do you know if your door locks are module controlled or non module controlled ? Locks, Latches and Entry Systems - Module Controlled Principles Of Operation s5a~tr~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: Do not use a key, pencil or any other hard object to press the keyless entry keypad buttons. These objects may damage the keyless entry keypad buttons. NOTE: The remote transmitter will not operate with the transmission in REVERSE or DRIVE. NOTE: Upon installation of a new driver door module (DDM), the module must be reconfigured. Refer to Section 418-01 . The DDM receives inputs from the digital transmission range (TR) sensor, ignition switch, brake switch, door lock control switches, lighting control module (LCM), keyless entry keypad and remote transmitter. The DDM outputs consists of keyless entry keypad illumination, door lock actuators, luggage compartment lid release solenoid, and LCM. For DDM removal and installation information, refer to Section 419-10 . Inspection and Verification s5a~tr~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, refer to Section 419-03 for important safety warnings. NOTE: Before starting electrical diagnosis, check for mechanical binds by manually operating the door locks. Operate lock system several times from each switch while observing the operation of all door locks. Be sure battery is fully charged.
  1. Verify the customer concern.
  1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
  2. Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical

    1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
    1. If the cause is not visually evident, connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector and select the vehicle to be tested from the diagnostic tool menu. If the diagnostic tool does not communicate with the vehicle:
      • check that the program card is correctly installed.
      • check the connections to the vehicle.
      • check the ignition switch position.
    1. If the diagnostic tool still does not communicate with the vehicle, refer to the diagnostic tool operating manual.
    1. Carry out the diagnostic tool data link test. If diagnostic tool responds with:
      • SCP or ISO circuit fault; all electronic control units no response/not equipped, refer to Section 419-10 .
      • No response/not equipped for the DDM, refer to Section 419-10 .
      • No response/not equipped for the LCM, refer to Section 419-10 .
      • System passed, retrieve and record the continuous diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), erase the continuous DTCs and carry out self-test diagnostics for the DDM and LCM.
    1. If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the Driver Door Module (DDM) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index or Lighting Control Module (LCM) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index to continue diagnostics.

How can i fix this problem im having with my crown victoria 2005 my OD Overdrive blinking

The OD light is blinking because the transmission control module has detected a fault in the transmission operation, most common is slipping as measured by the input and output turbine shaft speed sensors. You may feel no slipping but the sensors are detecting it or one of the sensors is giving a fault signal.
