Using fuel to fast
pull the fuse and look for the missing link in it. The main reason for bad fuel economy is the modules and computers and the feedback that they get from the sensors. If the check engine light comes on that means quick, repair something because it is cheaper to fix than the cost of the fuel that you will waste. A lot of fuel will go right out the tail pipe unburned and pollute the environment.
Leaking power steering fluid
You are likely seeing auto trans fluid. It is often used as a substitute for power steering fluid. You say it's leaking badly so someone probably got tired of paying for power steering fluid and switched to the much cheaper ATF.

Code u1120 Lost Wheel distance what does this mean and how do I repair it?
U1120 means the abs module has lost communication with speed sensors. You'll need a scanner to monitor speed sensors. If problem is in module you won't get communication with scanner. Follow your brake lines from master cylinder to ABS pump/module, on the side of in is a wired connector. Undo it and check for moisture or corrosion. Get some dielectric gel and smear it good on all contacts. And plug back in and retest. Might need new module or speed sensor

Malfunction indicator light came on
I recommend going to an auto-parts store for a free evaluation. Most places like Auto-Zone and Advance Auto offer free diagnosis for an engine light. They will even be able to point you in the best direction to fix it!
Good luck!
