1986 Chevette choke isnt working :? New thermostat
Your car should have an electric choke set-up from the factory. The computer sends a signal to the coil inside the choke cover and turns it on and off over a specific time period. The coil inside the choke cover could be bad or the wire coming to it. If I remember right, there was an odd shaped plug-in for the choke and it caused problems. It was only available at the dealer. The computer would take it's signal from a temp sensor so that could be bad too.If it was my car, I'd go to the auto parts store and pick up a kit ($20) to convert it to a manual choke, cheaper and easier than playing with that electric contraption. Hope this helps.

Look at the center of your distributor. There will either be a wire which looks like a spark plug wire or there will be a plastic cap held on by small bolts. If you have a wire follow it baqck. It plugs directly into the coil. If you have the plastic cap, the coil is under the cap. If you need to replace it. pay close attention to how it comes apart, lay things out in the order they come off. There are spacers and insulators that need to go back in the same spot for it to work. Hope this helps.

Car door locked seized and can't get door open
Try taking penatrating oil (PB Blaster is my favorite). Squirt a good amount into the lock cylinder and then run the key in and out of the lock cylinder a good many times. Repeat this process a few times and the lock should free up and you should be able to turn the key inside the lock cylinder.
