Haynes repair manuals would have good wiring diagrams. Or google it, you can find about everything on the internet, but sometimes a problem with too small of print, or maybe my computer skills need sharpening. I don't know about those wire connections not plugged in. Are you sure they are from the doors? Can't imagine what they would be.

Remove plastic panel . Rear seats might have to be removed first. There are bolts and/ or rivets holding everything in place. There might also be a YouTube video on the subject. Good luck.

I would probe the motor terminals with a multimeter while trying to roll it down. If you don't have system voltage there, you need to start tracing back to see where the problem is. I would try another fuse first. I know you say it's ok but, it's strange for both of them to fail at the same time.

Float level may be low and starving carb of fuel on left turns.

The shift linkage bushings and the Shift lever bushings are probably worn. Adjustment of linkage and shift lever is probably needed. If this is beyond your DIY capacity, I'd take to a competent Transmission shop. Or purchase a repair manual from your auto parts store. You have an electrical problem. Some wire has gone bare and is shorting out the system. Those are really time consuming to find, so best of luck. The battery has nothing to do with your problem.

check your rear brakes a wheel cylinder or axle seal could be leaking if theres nothing under the drum adjust up the shoes and try bleeding wheel cylinder

both answers above are wrong. the 1984 2.8 ford cologne engine had solid lifters and requires valve lash settings of ,014 intake and .016 exhaust.
