HOW DO YOU SHIFT A 2007 CHEVY COBALT IN GEAR WITH OUT THE KEY

Look under the dash for the rod that actually manipulates the starter switch (it is not near the key, but near the floor or located on the column midway down and is controlled by a metal rod, all the key does at the top is lock the wheel) You can unlock the shifter, and even start the vehicle without a key by moving the rod manually.

2008 chevy cobalt violent vibration arouhd 55mph ok below and above speed have replaced joints tires struts, vibration still there

Warped rotors or out of balance tires can cause this. Have you had a front-end alignment after putting these steering/suspension parts on? When replacing these parts IT IS CRITICAL TO HAVE ALIGNED. Also, Have you checked condition of front HUB/WHEEL BEARINGS?

Chevy Cobalt ticking when brake pedal depressed?

You poor thing ,dont you you realise its one of them american thingys where the brake light is also the indicator ,totally illegal here in europe where it has to be a amber indicator light anyway the fault lies for sure in the fancy stop light switch ,my best advice would be to buy rear europeon rear lights and have them fitted and that monstosity of a stop light switch with all the relevant horrors of the wiring discarded in favour of a simplier system

Are you locked out of the car? If so, you'll need AAA or some other service to come unlock the door. Once you can get in, you should be fine.

I HAVE A 2006 CHEVY COBALT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS GOING ON AND OFF. THE CODE IT GIVE IS FOR THE ,MAP SENSOR. I'VE REPLACED IT 3 TIMES BUT CONTINUE TO HAVE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GO ON AND OFF.

Just because the code says map sensor doesnt actually mean theres anything wrong with the map sensor.an outside factor could be causing the sensor to read beyond its threshold causing a fault code. Also i would check into any technical service bulletins for your vehicle. if theres a factory issue you can save alot of headache by checking there first. and lastly be sure to clear the code after replacing the part. if you no longer have access to a scan tool just unhook the battery for a few minutes to clear the code.
