Replacing motor mounts

It's not as easy as it sounds. Basically you will need to lift the engine off the frame and unbolt the old ones off. I highly doubt that you can do this without disconnecting the transmission. Definitely something that you want an experienced mechanic to help with. It may just not be worth it. If you can lift the engine with the transmission attached (if there is enough room to tilt it up), that would be the best bet but you will need an engine hoist or cherry picker to do this. (THIS IS NOT FOR AN AMATEUR)

Let me know if you have any further questions, this will require a lot of work

Need to replace heater core on 84 chevy celebrity

First, drain your system's coolant into a container (and dispose of properly)
Locate the two hoses that go into your firewall. These hoses go into and out of the hearer core and remove them. There should also be rubber insulators on the inlet and outlet of the heater core. Unscrew each hose's fastener and remove these hoses. Do not dispose of these hoses as they will be reused. Next, go iside of your vehcle and remove the under dash cover and then locate the heater duct. It has a number of small screws plus clips that hold it in place, remove them. The duct should then be removed. There is also a small cover over the heater core inlet/outlet pipes. It is held on with three screws, one of which is a little hard to see, remove them and take off the small cover. It may be glued in place by a tar like insulating material. The heater core is held in place by two strap clamps over it which are held on with two screws in each. Finally, Remove the screws and clamps. The heater core will now come out
Reverse the procedure to install the new heater core. Refill the coolant and check for leaks.

How do I remove fuel pump on an 84 celebrity

You will have to disconnect negative battery cable, then disconnect wiring harness going to gas tank, then remove filler tube, then both fuel lines.
Then support the tank with a jack, remove support straps, then remove tank bolts, lower tank and pull it out.
Then with a BRASS and ONLY a BRASS punch and a hammer, knock the ring on top of the tank counter-clockwise until it is completely loose. Then pull out sending unit and fuel pump carefully and disconnect the two of them. Then reverse procedure to reinstall new pump

Where is the fuel filter located in 1984 Chevrolet

If your engine has a carburator it is in the carb. You will see a big nut where the fuel line goes into the carb. Unscrew it and there is your fuel filter. If you have TBI or throttle body, it's inline, under the car I think. Hope this helps.

I need to replace the fuel pump on a 1984 chevy

84 celibrity has a carborater and the filter is in the carb. where the fuel line connects to it. Follow this metal line down past the timing cover and the other end screws into the fuel pump thats connected to the side of the engine block near the oil pann gasket on the belt drive end of the engine it has some brackets surounding it for the power steering pump and it's hard to get to and lots of other stuff needs to be removed to get to it. When their bad they leak oil too and sometimes they leak gas into the oil.195379185.jpg

How do you replace steering pump belt for a 84

Probably not easy to do on a front wheel drive car, unless you are a small contortionist.

I would give this job to an auto repair shop.

1988 chevrolet celebrity starts but has no power to run

Is this a 2.8L vin W? I saw a service bulletin that said, do not replace maf sensor for maf sensor code. You install a new mem-cal. The new memcal doesn't use the maf signal, but does use the mat. If the update had been done on your vehicle, there should be a decal under the hood to notify you about the update. They did this because of problems with the maf sensor, at the time. Just to add, problems at higher rpms, check for a blockage of some kind, air--fuel--exhaust. Use a gage and check proper fuel pressure.
