Sounds as if you need to trace the wiring from the box to the plug, looking for a pinched or broken wire. There are special tools made to help find the break, but a visual inspection may well find the fault. If not, you can use a cheap test lamp with a pinpoint tip to probe the wire moving from front to back until you find where the current no longer shows.

Why is my battery draining in my 2004 chevy 2500 HD

Lots of reasons ! The most common cause of battery drain on a good battery is leaving an accessory on (courtesy light?). A pure guess with no information would be the starter is on its' last legs. It might be the alternator or there could be a short to ground from corrosion/age. There are lots of troubleshooting guides on the web for a battery draining, here is an example: http://www.gmtruckclub.com/forum/threads/battery-drain-issue.28504/ If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/david_1f7d1c330c9dd97d

Constant Heat

Remove both of the ac connections under the hood in the firewall.. use a garden hose on the disconnected pipes and have someone slowly turn the water on...do one side first, then do the reverse side..this will flush the system of build up or corrosion...you should see dirty water, then clean water coming out...reconnect hoses at firewall..cheers

CHEVY 2500HD 2004 6.0 GAS THOUGHT THE FLEX PLATE WAS BAD BUT ITS NOT. SYMPTOMS A NOISE IN THE OIL PAN BEHIND HARMONIC BALANCER NOT A KNOCK BUT SOMETHING SOUNDS LIKES ITS RUBBING. ALSO HAVE BEARING NOI

Engine noises are hard to diagnose when following a description. Have you tried a stethoscope or a socket extension pressed against the pan to isolate the location? It is possible a crankshaft bearing or a connecting rod bearing has spun or is scored. If you can confirm the noise is in the bottom end of the engine and its approximate position it's time to remove the caps looking for a failed bearing. The block transmits noises very efficiently so be sure the noise is not being transferred from a different location. Here some info on the bottom end: King Engine Bearing Crankshaft Installation Guide Feat XP Bearings

My 2004 Chevy 2500 Durmax

Hi im thinking there is a fuel pressure problem, this could be the regulator of the injection line. this is supposed to keep pressure in the fuel system by closing when the engine is turned off. in there line as well is a sensor for the ecu, this tells the ecu the fuel pressure so it can start or open more for more fuel into the system i think one or both of these has failed, if it fails the fuel by gravity will go back to the tank.

Sounds like the pressure plate for the clutch is bad. However, I would mark where the adjustment is now so you can reset it to that position if the clutch adjustment does not fix the problem. I would then try to adjust the clutch and if no good replace the clutch, pressure plate and pilot bearing in the crank and then adjust the new clutch.

When cruse is set, why does it not hold going down hill

Cruise control only maintains speed by utilizing the accelerator. To speed up it increases it and during slowing is removes it. The cruise control will not apply brakes in the event of a steep downhill run. In this case the vehicle will start to accelerate in the same manner as if the cruise control was not engaged. But in theses cases, most cruise controls, once the speed exceeds a certain amount above the set speed, will auto-disengage as a safety feature.

The chime stopped working if

First you did not mention trim level or what radio you have asuming you have a RDS radio system since you mentioned your radio did in fact work that gives me the impression you do nt have a WT or base model. If in fact you have a RDS radio the chime only chimes on the one driverside speaker (large one in door not the tweeter) See if that speaker is opperational. If it is opperational and you have the controlls on the steering wheel locate your owners manual and see how to enable the chimes or disable the chime. You or someone may have disabled the chime. Try these two posibilities if they dont work resubmit and I will look into problem farther, it may be in the radio itself.
