how do you start it when it doesnt go? if you have to jump it, id say alternator is on the way out,the clicking is the solenoid because it doesnt have the voltage to stay on contact...would usually be a rapid clicking sound.

I doubt it is a fuse since the speedo and gas gauge get power from the same source. There are two 10amp fuses in the box under the dash. One is battery power and the other is from the key switch.You may have done something to the connector for the cluster.The speed sensor is mounted on the transaxle.
