Start at the turbo and check for loose or blown air lines . Check the intercooler for cracks. The turbo whine is normal but you would not be hearing it as the turbo is controlled to vary the amount of boost needed for the throttle setting. If you have to use starting fluid to start a diesel then it is time to consider a re-ring and bearings for the engine.
Transmission tow/haul mode
Hi, the problem is when you are tilting the steering wheel all the way up it's putting to much tenstion on the wires that come outof your shifter that run to the tow/haul button. i am 99% sure your wires are disconected. rewire them and add some extra wire so next time there will be more slack in your wires.
My 6.6 litre duramax loses
Sounds like it is in limp or creep mode, this is to get you to the dealer to check the problem, could be a number of things. You could also go to autozone for a free service engine soon check.
I assume the service engine soon light is on.
My truck brings up p0300 and light flashes and the truck jerks and then stalls
If you google the codes you have,you will see thatP300 Codes, are cylinder misfires & the cause couldbe many different thingsIf you have a flashing check light STOP using it, as youhave a serious Clss A misfire that will ruin your exhaustconverter & possibly your motorThe flashing is telling you something,you need tolook into your owners manual,have factory manuals, if yourworking on your own stuff or get to a repair shop immmediately,when those things happen
Battery dies for no apparent reason if truck sits
Fantom power drain.
Make sure nothing is plugged into the lighter
Make sure no lights are on like under hood or visor mirrors
Turn off radio and make sure no cd/tape is in
Ignition switch might be bad
A good battery should last 2 weeks just sitting.
A old battery will go dead overnight especially if cold
