If I understand your query right. Your truck keeps dying.
1. Might need a tune-up (plugs and gap adjust to spec.), plugs wires, fuel filter, cap, rotor. air filter)
2. I suspect the fuel filter-----or high voltage to ground (like spark to ground)
For charging system
1. Battery test (Voltage reading)
2. Take the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) divide by 2
example: 600cca / 2 = 300
3. With a carbon pipe tester load 300amps for 15 seconds and read the voltage drop. Should not go under 9.5volts if not the battery won't pass the test.

1997 k2500 front seat wont stay up
Not a description that gives me a mental image of what isn't happening. Seat (mechanical) mechanisms are generally reliable and give little bother other than return springs which become weak, detached or break. Often such a fault only becomes obvious when the seat is removed for closer inspection.
Seats with pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical functions have a different set of problems, often rooted in lack of use, damp, dusty and dirty operating environment or advancing age
Back tail light
mine did this a while back and it was a connection near the spare tire up in the rear.. also make sure all bulbs are good. those are a strip type bulb holder and they are known to go bad they are coated also with some kind of grease and don't make good connections in time.
Back tail lights
under the rear truck there is a junction block with 3 harness
turn signals left side yellow wire
turn signal right side green wire
parking lights brown wire
you should find your problem could be the junction block itself look for water inside terminal at harness
hope it helps
