I would contact GM, there is an ignition recall on many of their vehicles. If you have not had it done, that is where I would start.

Hello, Depending on the year your vehicle was manufactured it is most likely that when your stereo was installed they interfered in some way with your wiring related to your ignition wiring. I would recommend if you had the stereo installed professionally to call them and let them know your having the vehicle towed to their place of business and that there was no such issue prior to them installing the stereo.

check for transmission codes shift solenoids could be your cause or internal leakage test line pressure a 7/16 plug on top of transmission just in front of master cylinder during shifting should not drop to zero .

did you replace battery in remote fob, and do you keys have integrated circuits -- if so replace batteries. Go through the sequence carefully.

on mine was the pcv valve line broke and the valve line to the fuel regualator jus put right size rubber hoes on it and was fixed doesnt stall now if still stalls the hose you put on isnt tight enough and leaking air has to have good air flow so check all vaccum lines if still stalls

You actually want to replace the window regulator, it's not too hard to do, you have to remove the door panel, loose the tensioner, and then remove the window as well as the regulator then replace the regulator. Look underniethe dash for a rectangular black box, older chevs had the chime separate to the radio, yours may be old enough that it still has the chime box. If not, it could be the connection at the door or a bad door latch switch, via a wiring diagram you can find which wire diactivates the chime and either splice it or disconnect it, the system could work with continuity or an open circuit. good luck!
