2003 Chevrolet Venture Cruise control does not work
I read everybody's replies. Brake lights. Who would think? Before I read this, I ran my 2002 Venture all over at various speeds yesterday. The Cruise Control would not work - no matter what. Today, I had my wife tap the brakes and both lights and the roofline light lit up. I drove the van down the street and engaged the Cruise Control. It worked like new. Weird, huh? Very cold here 12/11/16 in Southeast Ohio. Maybe it was the cold weather and because I had not used it for a few months? Thanks for the answers. This is a GOOD SITE!!! JACK
2003 Chevy Venture Wont start once warm.
what kind of oil pressure does it have (hot and cold) ??? there is a oil pressure sensor that needs to see oil pressure in order to enable the ign circuit I do think they (gm) stopped using it in maybe 04 because it caused so many problems in cold climates but it maybe as early as mid year 03 cant remember that far back
Wiring diagrams
Antilock and traction control are really part of the same system, if you have a wheel sensor bad neither one will work, get a scanner with abs capability and scan it. That will tell you which wheel is giving the problem. There are wiring diagrams out there, but you may be looking in the wrong place first.

Why does my chevy venture overheat after ten minutes?
If your engine is overheating, Try this procedure:
- Dirt and debris can get lodged in the radiator air flow paths. This can block the radiator and cause your engine to overheat and damage the engine.
- The thermostat can be stuck close. If you feel the upper hose very hot and the lower hose cooler than normal, it may be a stuck thermostat.
- Make sure the radiator and the overflow bottle are filled to the proper levels.
- Bleed air from the coolant system:This is best done by running the engine with the radiator cap off until you see when the air bubbles stop coming up.
- Check the radiator fans: The easiest way is to turn on the cars air conditioner and turn up the A/C fans. Both radiator fans should come on when the A/C starts
- Make a pressure test by using a pressure testing tool (available at most auto parts stores). Use the pressure shown on your radiator cap. Most cars are 16 PSI or less, so don't exceed that pressure. Replace the radiator cap if it doesn't hold the pressure.
How to turn off the change oil light in a 2003
What you need to do is turn the ignition key to the on postion (but do not start the vehicle). Next, push the trip odometer button a few times until the word oil appears on the screen. There will be a number next to the word oil. Hold the button in until the number 100 appears next to the word oil and then your good to go. Let me know if you have any further questions about this. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!
Low oil pressure light comes on in 2003 chevy venture?
Oil level? Last time serviced? Oil filter changed? Number of miles? Regular service as required by Owner's manual? Otherwise if none of these are a problem, you may have a failed or failing oil pump. Worst case is bearing problem.
Check engine soon light on
Yes, but you will need a code reader (also called a scan tool) to get the code from the computer. Do not remove the cables from the battery until you check the codes because on many vehicles (and almost all vehicles before 2008) this will reset the check engine light. You can go to an Auto Zone store and they will check your codes for free, or you can purchase a code reader online (you can find many on Amazon--see the link at the end of this post). Be advised that cheaper readers won't capture all codes or will often deliver a generic code that is not intuitive. Auto Zone uses a cheaper reader so your result may not be optimal. The alternative is to go to a reputable repair shop or dealer where they use the more expensive Actron or similar readers to get a more accurate result, but of course they will charge you for the service. One common reason for a check engine light is a loose gas cap because the computer picks upa drop in fuel line pressure. Best of luck!

Oil in the radiator
oil in the radiator is from a failed transmission oil cooler that is in the radiator tank. You will also have water in the transmission oil as when you shut off the engine the coolant pressure may enter the oil lines through the crack in the cooler.
