Does anyone have pictures online? have 2003 3500

a chevy dealer service department will have an illustrated parts breakdown on it, and they will have knowledge as to what all needs replaced. they do not charge you until the put their hands on the car, and they actually know what they are talking about. so drop by and be courteous and patient.

On 2003 I bought a 3500silverado truck Duramax

There is only one owners manual for the truck. The Trucks with the Duramax came with a Duramax Diesel Supplement Book. This is what you want.

I bought my 2003 chevrolet

Hello Justin.

It appears you are looking after your pickup well.

A couple words of advise.
Don't over oil the K&N. Excess oils will deposit on the mass airflow sensor on the intake duct and insulate the hotwire inside it.

Also if it hasn't been done already, synthetic gear lubes in the differentials are great value. They last for a long time and a reduction in friction will also help save fuel, especially if you live in a colder climate.

If your truck has an automatic transmission there is a filter that should be changed if it hasn't been done already. The pan will need to be dropped in order to change it.

Also just in case someone tries to sell you a cabin air filter.
Starting in 2003 model year, the passenger compartment air filter is no longer available as a factory option. With the redesigned HVAC case, there is no longer a cavity for the filter. The GM parts catalog indicates there is a replacement filter available; however, there is no provision for it.

And of course the fuel filter. This is mounted on the inside of the frame on the left side.
A restricted or plugged fuel filter can overwork the electric fuel pump that is inside the fuel tank.

That pretty much covers the normal maintainence filters Justin.
I hope you get it to 500,000 miles.
Thank you for using FixYa.

When slowing to a stop

More than likely it is warped brake rotors. You may feel a pulsation in the brake pedal, or the steering wheel may shake a bit.
I would suspect the fronts would be more noticeable. You may also see rust build up or a rough surface on the rotors.
Front brakes are easy to replace, I would put new pads and rotors on the front first.
