Replace broken off zert fitting @ left rear brake assembly and stop brake pedal from going to the floor.
Zerk, zerk, not zert...and anyway, grease fittings have zerks, and brake cylinders and brake calipers have bleed valves. Zerks let grease in and somewhat restrict outward flow, while bleed valves let fluid out when opened and totally stop anything in or out when closed. Just giving you a heads-up, Lloyd, when you explain this to a shop or mechanic, because a broken bleed valve usually requires getting a drill to it and drilling a small hole so an easy-out tool can fit inside the broken valve and wrench it out of there. If you have disc brakes there, the caliper may have it's bleed valve readily accessable to a drill. Any chance the broken part is loose? Does brake fluid escape there? A very slim chance you could get a tiny screwdriver on it and turn it back out of there, but they break off because tight to begin with and rust and road grit takes it's toll-it's a common problem. Good luck.
!998 thoe will not start.
Check the power to your coil. Pull the connector off and probe the connector terminal from the pink wire with a twelve volt test light. Connect the test light clip to a ground point on a metal point in the engine. The test light should come on when the ignition switch is turned on. If it does not come on then replace the ECM-1 fuse and/or ignition switch.
My 1998 tahoe keeps blowing a fuse in the relay
There are MANY diffrerent wiring diagrams so in order to narrow down which diagram you need, I would need to know which fuse is blowing and will be happy to help. If you know which componants this fuse controls you may want to start by disconnecting the different componants first to see if that stops it before you start chasing wires. You can let me know which fuse keeps blowing so I can get you the correct diagram by replying here or feel free to email me directly at
[email protected] with all your information.
Fuel filter change
What are you needing to know? The fuel filter is located under the driver side floor board inside the frame rail, be sure to bleed the pressure off of the line before attempting to remove it.
How do I know if my rear end is out? My steering
1) steering being sloppy has nothing to do with it. 2) Clunk sound is usually the u-Joints depending on miles on Car 3) Ticking sound when you drive slow - I need you to be precise on the sounds you are hearing for me to diagnose your rear end problems. I need to know each sound, where it is coming from (Front of Car, Rear of Car, Underneath Car) and does it happen During Acceleration, or When you let off the Gas After Acceleration, or When you are braking does this sound happen. I will be able to tell you if it's the rear end or something else with this input from you. Thanks Keith
