It sounds like you are having a fuel pump problem. I have seen this more that once on Chevy's. You need to check the fuel pressure. Any below 50 PSI you need a fuel pump.

Sounds more like ignition module, I'd try another one !

P0700 juist means that the transmission has had a fault occur and the then a fault code was set for that fault, the P1711 is the actual fault. Read about this fault code at the link, there is a bulletin on this for the faults.

it really doesn't matter--- what broke it is repaireable take it to an accredited diesel repair shop as they may have an explanation as to why the clip failed and have a modified unit to carry out the repair contact the service dealer and ask if there is a service bulletin or recall current on the failure

clean your connections

Will the power lock work from the passenger side button? If it does, its just your switch assembly. Hth.

I think that you have a defective starter solenoid, this the part that is mounted to the top of the starter.

I think your ignition lock cylinder is worn out. They're not that hard to replace and yours is a domestic vehicle so your local auto parts store should have the part on hand.

have you checked the fuses

It will be the same as auto trans fluid, Dexron III or similar

Sounds like the wires in the column or on the switch are melted together.

check them with a noid light, if the light blinks then the ecu is good, also check the wiring harness to the injectors.
