I guess you mean goes down when you press the electric button down and theres no sound orpower to go back up if you pust the button for down again it'll try to go down, but not up. If this is the case the window switch has failed, as long it's the window in the drivers door.

Have you also by passed the water pump? I'm guessing that if the issue has only just started, then you likely have.

With it still running with the key out of the ignition the first thing I would do is swap out the ignition first since I have known a couple of people with the same problem and this is what helped them.

Well you have already confirmed there is a short in the harness or a connector.If you can't find it, the next best thing would be to run a new wire from the pump relay back to the connector at the gas tank.

Sound like it could be low on fluid which would cause this and if so would indicate a leak somewhere. could also be a sensor that is bad or could be that transmission needs to be replaced. hope info is helpful and if so please leave rating on this post and good luck.
