ignition switch also in collum there is a fuse link tear apart and inspest starter relay could b problm too does yor key have a security chip in it

sounds like coolant is getting into the combustion , i would start with no2 cyl , its a place to start, could also be a leaking injector,

are you shifting into a lower gear when starting to go up the hill you should use the transmission when doing this no matter how steep the hill is because this will stop the overload on the transmission , maybe time for tune up ,? , do u also have a towing switch in you vechil I do not know what u are towing with , no listed in your question

int pak fuse--10 amp, left i/p fuse block. Not only check the fuse, check for voltage on fuse circuit, head lamp switch on. At the clearance lamps, brown wire is voltage, black is ground.

First check the fuse box for any fuses related to the 4x4.

This could be from current sensing from the voltage regulator. Get another meter and hook it up and see if it bounces. If it does, there is nothing to worry about. If it does not, the dash gage panel needs to be reworked.

You need new glow plugs. Im guessing you live somewhere kind of cold maybe. It starts just fine after running because the motor is already warm. Quick start will work.....or at least it did for me until I used one mornig and went to crank and BOOM. It blew my air filter case to pieces and caught the filter on fire. Starting fluid is not meant for diesel motors. If you cant afford new glow plugs what worked for me is turn on the key all the way but dont crank wait 10 sec then repeat a few times and it should crank unless its really cold out or the plugs are really bad. Trust me thats what it is. I replaced mine and now It cranks right up even when its super cold.

I would check the motor in the fan under the dash. See if its malfunctioning
