heater core???? go ahead and tear out the underneath dash on pass side. there is a cover on it, take the bolts out ...disconnect the lines.... there you go.

ok when a car overheats the metal parts inside the motor expand and that will temporary lock or try to freeze your engine, y will recomend you to try to crak it again when cold, and if this will not help try to jump start the car, if you had a weak battery when this happened most likelly you kill the battery, use a very good size jumper cables or try with a diferent batterie and then have your car diagnose for the overheating problem.

Hi Alan: You're thinking what I'd be checking. Make sure the battery terminals are clean, not corroded, and that all connections are good. Is the car starting OK? Are the aliens in control of the lights when the engine is running? What do the lights do if the engine is turned off?

There are many possible solutions including: Bad gas, needs tune up (points, plugs and/or timing), idle adjustment, computer problem, bad or dirty fuel or air filters or carburetor, etc. Get professional diagnostics & or service.
