I have a 2003 ford

have someone turn key and you grab the battery cables and twist/ wiggle them and also pull upward on positive cable going to starter to see if it makes a better contact to start truck. I dont know who or how the starter got tested but normally if the starter just clicks it is either not enough power going to starter motor, or the starter selonoid is bad, or the starter motor is bad. so double check all cables and cable ends, and all cable contacting points. check battery for tight posts and connections.

Why isn't heater control panel illuminated?

I've got a 2004 so I know it's part of the dimmer control circuit. So first make sure your dimmer control is all the way up. This will also brighten your dashboard display. Turn it all the way up until your dome lights come on, and then back off to just where the dome lights go out. // If you haven't removed the panel, then there is no reason for the lighting to be disconnected, but if you did, you need to go back and connect the wiring connector. Also, look under the driver area for any obvious wiring disconnects and/or "pulled" wiring which could have caused a disconnect further down the line. // I'm pretty sure there is not a separate fuse for just that panel, but if you've tried everything else, you should check your fuses.

The door ajar light, dome light, side mirror lights will not turn off even after re-shutting all the doors.

Replace the door latch inside the door. First check to see if they just sell the sensor for it. Not sure when they started making the sensor replaceable. Newer ones are, older ones you have to replace the entire latch.

My radio, map lights and power windows stoped working, what would be the fuse to check?

All these items will not be controlled by the same fuse. Possible ignition switch failure. Try gently moving the key back and forth in the cylinder to see if any of these electronics become functional again. If they do, suspect an ignition switch failure

2003 ford explorer 4.0 no ckeck engine light working

What? YOiu mean your have error codes but the check engine light does not come on. Normal operation is no check engine light is on. When there is a sensor failure the engine "brain" detects a problem and set's error codes. And this "set" turns on the check engine usually with a red light. Other wise there is a problem with your engine's brain (ECU) or other names.

I have a 2003 FORD explore and the gear shift move and its stuck in park

Its the shift pin inside your shifter. i replaced my whole shifter 2 years ago. I then took apart the old shifter and used jb weld on the small pin that worked its way out. It worked like a champ. I thus sold my old shifter. In my opinion its a factory known default in fords but they expect you to bring it to them so they can gouge your wallet.

Service engine soon light on took to parts store misfire #4 cylinder replaced plugs and wires should i clear code by taking ground wire off battery or wait for light to go off

Hi Jeff: I'm a results oriented kind of guy so I's want to know if the fix worked. I'd use the approved "code clearing procedure" so that if the problem was not corrected, the service engine light would come back on and tell me. Cheerfuls!
