No. The anti-theft system is inherent with the vehicles wiring. It can be bypassed, but I have no knowledge of how to do it.

These engines are famous for intake gasket issues more so if it has GM dexcool antifreeze. 700-1000 in shop. Find a good back yarder. Parts arround 100. Couple hun for labour

Before you spend money on a new battery or new computer, try getting a new key made. I had this problem and was bypassing by using a wire to jump ignition wire to + battery terminal. A friend suggested my key may be worn so got a new one. All fixed!

This is the passcode security system installed at the factory. check your owners manual to reset it. Better yet reset it 3 times to ensure the reset is done. It will take you 30 minutes because you turn the ignition to on, not start, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Turn it off then back on for another 10 minutes and then repeat once more. That fixed the situation for me for awhile. My best advice is to sell the car. This happens repeatedly and no one seems to have a good fix.

Block heater..no where unless you had one installed or factory ordered...for colder climates like Akaska..The device that allows the block to heat and get heat in the car is called the thermostat..located on the top of ten engine where the top radiator hose attaches to the engine...good luck..

Just pop your hood and look on left side for the underhood electrical center. On the inside cover is fuse information which will tell you which fuse is the 20 Amp minifuse for Cigar Lighter/Aux Power Outlet. Of course if cover is missing then you will need more information. It is the only 20 Amp (Yellow) fuse in the center so shouldn't be hard to find (#34 on label). Lower Left Quadrant assuming this fuse label shows stuff in car position.

It is above and behind the Alternator on the top. It looks like a "D" battery standing-up with a female pigtail hook-up on the top of it.

Center instrument panel trim bezel-- on models where the ignition switch is mounted behind this bezel, use a small, taped screw driver to pry off around ignition switch. the switch stays in the dash. pry around the trim bezel with a flat tool to remove trim. to release the clips. ( Be careful not to break the trim around the controls). Remove the screws from heater assembly, and pull out just far enough to remove vacuum hoses and electrical connections. Use a small screw driver to release the clips from assembly. When installing switch, Do not use oil on the hoses to make them slip on better. it will mess up the vacuum needed for proper operation. If needed use water for the hoses.Good-Day!

the ignition switch is not rebuild able just replace the switch. if your having problem turning the key the tumblers are worn and or the key is worn.

If you don't have a key fob you're out of luck. It is needed to turn the alarm off completely. You can shut it off by using the door key to unlock then re-lock the door, but the alarm is still armed and will go off if the passenger door is opened after the drivers door is locked

Turn the ignition on for ten minutes, Don't try to start it. Turn it off for 30 seconds. This is called a reset. There is also a relearn. Do the same procedure 3 times before trying to start it.

The problem can be just a bad shift solenoid a scanner can test this ( (Factory type) or install a pressure gauge to line port on top of trans just in front or master cylinder 7/16 plug i think measure line pressure in park then in drive drops to zero then the forward clutch is leaking will need internal repairs.

Remove covers and there should be a little pin you push in which allows the barrel and keys to come out.( use a piece of wire to hold the pin in).

It is preset, and the Idle Air Control--IAC) handles the idleing of engine. Remove and clean IAC if dirty. if not, replace it. Good-Day!

this can due to diff things.did the car have reaent have maintenance. its possible your axceleration sproeier is dirty.its a tiny pipe in carb , thats gifs extra fuell when you hit the pedal.there are some cleaning producks on the market to clean out carbs.aldo sometimes it makes the problem bigger.
