power sliding door closes half way than opens up and does not close
Check for something blocking the upper or lower track. the door is equipped with a sensor that senses that there is something preventing the door from closing and causes the door to reopen.

how to remove the middle seats chevrolet venture 2001 ls
look behind the seat under the rear it's a black metal rod that runs under the seat from side to side .just above this there should be a strap sticking out the back corner of the seat .pull this strap to lay the seat forward then after you lay the seat forward reach and grab the black metal bar and squeeze the two bars together the seat will release lean it forward and lift up on the seat while still squeezing the two black bars together and the seat will lift out the track

location of o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1, code p0135
Bank 1 is always the same side of the motor as the number one cylinder. Bank two is the other side.
Sensor 1 is always before the cat. Sensor 2 is always after the cat.
Since that year only has one O2 before the cat it would be called bank1 sensor 1. It is located before the cat in the exhaust manifold on the back side of the engine (firewall side).

the battery died, then when we got a jump, the security light came on in the chevy venture message center display
Hi there,
Most commonly with these cars the security system will do this if the battery is "drained" while trying to start the car. ie: a low battery that is too weak to turn the engine over. Usualy the power options & accesories will not work if this is happening.
To fix it you will need to ensure the battery is charged, you then disconnect the battery negative cable for about 1 minute with the key out of the ignition. reconnect the battery cable & start the car normally. Everything should be back to normal.
Let me know if there is anything more you need for this concern.
Farrout!

The brake pedal in my 2001 Chevy Venture was hitting the floor when I tried to brake.
Changed the master cylinder, changed the calipers, changed the wheel cylinders. Got it bled at a GM Goodwrench garage because I know that you need to have an ABS scan tool purge the ABS module.
I got it back and it was still a little spongy. I thought it was cause my brakes were low, so I changed the front pads and rotors. The brakes are STILL spongy. With the ABS module bled and no sign of bubbles in the brake system, what else could it make my brakes still spongy?
Thanks ahead of time.
Did you adjust the rear shoes out? If the rear drum brakes are out of adjustment they will give you a lot of pedal travel. If the pads are worn have no fear of that U-CLIP brake spring, just change one shoe at a time. Take the spring off one side, change the shoe, put the spring back on the post and do the same to the other shoe, no problem.

how do I remove the thermostat from my 2001 chevy venture
2001 Chevrolet Truck Venture FWD 3.4L SFI 6cyl
Removal & Installation

Fig. The removal and installation of the thermostat
NOTE
Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement
fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.
Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of
thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service
procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on
fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings
affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the
fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

My 01 chevy venture blend door acuator is not working. Is there a way to manually change it when the summer gets here? The ac worked just fine this last summer but I had no heat. The shop manually changed it to the warm setting but now I can't get my ac to cool. I had the shop do this for both the ac and the heat, just wondering if I can change this myself?
Your blend door in the Venture is on the driver side of the van, under the dash just above your right knee at the side of your plenum. You will see a white arm that will move to adjust the blend door. The blend door actuator sits on top of the plenum held down with 3 screws. If you did not want to diagnose the problem you could just wire it in place for summer or winter. Personally I would try and diagnose the problem. Hope this helps.
