Transmission fluid
No reason you can't do yourselfI assume you have done several before !!!
99 subarban no tail lights or dash lights
I'll assume you already checked the fuses so I wont suggest that. Near the steering column under the dash, you'll see a block of wires (wiring harness). What i have found in the past is that sometimes (for reasons I cant fathom) somehow that block has been kicked/bumped. Check that all the connection are tight and nothing has been unplugged. Hope this helps.
Intake antfreeze.leak
I hate when that happens ! if you can visually see the coolant leaking out from intake manifold @ gasket, yes it needs replaced. the gaskets. just did it to my winter car that sat outside, a lot of work , just to replace the gaskets. don't think agasket sealer would work here, intake manifold needs to come off along with alot of other things, PATIENCE is a virtue, good luck
04 venture won't idle when cold
why did you change ICM ? not nessesary, you have an idle problem, correct ? then thats what you need to work on. your old ICM has codes stored in it which would tell you the problem, now its gone ! see if new ICM has any codes to trouble shoot . go from there, otherwise, replace IAC valve @ throttle body, maybe your TPS sensor needs replaced, I suggest you get a repair manual, so you understand what your doing, if your not a mechanic, don't try to be, todays engines are too complex for todays novice, good luck
Drain plug clogged
If you mean the drain plug for the motor crankcase, you might stick a screwdriver or wire or something like that in and our of the hole until the motor oil runs out.If the transmission drain plug, same answer. If the radiatror drain plug, try taking the radiator cap off and blow air into the drain with an air hose gently to open it. (NOT high pressure so you don't damage the radiator).Be Blessed.
TRUCK RUNNING HOT
antifreeze level ok.. thermostat stuck(replace if bad) check cooling fans and shrouds look for clogged cooling fins and clean out with garden hose..not pressure washer hose(this can blow holes in the radiator fins) and check for malfunctioning waterpump as well as rough running engine.. good luck repost findings..
Where does the vacuum line on air intake duct
Are you referring to the plastic line that comes out of the top of the duct, turns and disappears toward the back of the engine? That line goes to the top of the rear valve cover. Use a flashlight and look for the hole on the top of the back valve cover. Look to the right and below the coils. It's tough to see but you can see it. Be careful, sometimes the plastic line can be brittle and break.
Noisy engine
some noises in the engine come from water pump bearing failure. idler pulley bearing failure. If you have a viscous fan hud that can give a noise. Also check that the harmonic balancer isn't coming apart and slipping
