Why do I not have any lights inside my 2000 venture
My guess is a fuse in the fuse panel at the far passenger side of the dash, you have to open the passenger door to check it or ....is the interior light over ride switch above the rear view mirror in the correct position for interior lighting?
My driver side window wont roll down, manualy, it
Thanks for the info, I think I can help. Roll the window down until it tilts forward just a little. Once the glass has tilted forward, do you see a tiny hole in the rear upper corner of the glass? I think your model has a small piece of plastic that hooks into that hole and rides up and down the vertical window track to hold the glass straight.
Lightning came close to striking
i have had that happen to me before. i simply disconnected both the positive and the negative battery cables for about ten minutes to reset the computer. when i put them back on it worked fine, hope this helps.
I have an 2000 Chevy venture and my temperature gauge is going way past the middle but van isn't running hot I have already changed the thermostat
Air pocket in cooling system is a possibility however the 3.4 liter gm v6 is also famous for the lower intake manifold gasket going out as well as head gasket issues. That engine is difficult to bleed air from as the bleed valve is not the highest point of the engine. Raise it in jack stands, bring to operating temp and Crack the bleed valve open until no air comes out then close. Repeat and make sure to keep water level uo. May take many tries to correct. If it turns out the intake gasket is gone or the heads have to be done make sure to get the upgraded gaskets used since late 2004. They are reinforced with a better material.
Check engine light
Why don't you have it scanned and see what the real problem is, instead of just replacing parts? It could be an EVAP valve or something else.
Were are freeze plugs located on chevy venture
as on any engine the freeze plugs are located along the sides of the lower engine block They look like large 1/2" to 1" brass or silver concave disks pressed into the engine block. They protect the block from cracking by poping out when the block coolant freezes.
Clock radio no update
in general you have two power source for the radio one for the clock and illumination ,one for the radio itself.find the one for the clock and check if you got power to it.check your connections.
Overheating
hello, have you ran a scan tool on it yet to see if its not your coolant temp sensor or other temp sensor if you don't own one you can have any place like auto zone run one for you for free you'll have more of a idea of whats wrong even if your cooling fan is at fault it'll let you know. when your chevy is at idol if the cooling fan is'nt kicking on then that's a good starting point, also check to make sure your anti freeze is'nt low and easy but over looked problem and your anti freeze cap could be bad and wont force the right amount to pressure through the cooling system also make sure you dont have air in your system when you changed the thermostat did you bleed the system through the bleeder valve mounted on the coolint system.and make sure your drive belt has proper tension even though you replaced the pump the drive belt has to be in good condition it drives the pump.also check your cooling fan fuse and the relay for it.
