Your transmission is slipping is my guess, it is really the only explanation. The only fix is to remove the transmission and rebuild it or replace it with a factory rebuilt unit.
Is a p1345 enough to stop a truck from starting?
Hi there:The most likely cause if you have replaced the cam position sensor is
the distributor is out of time. You must use a scan tool with a data
stream capability to properly set the timing on this engine. Access the
data stream and find the cam ****** offset reading. It should be 0
plus or minus 2 at 1500 RPM. If not within spec, then the distributor
is out of time. loosen the hold down bolt and rotate the distributor
until the reading comes into spec.NOTE: the value will not change on
the scan tool until the engine is reved above 1500 RPM so make an
adjustment and rev the engine. This is the only way to accurately set
the timing on these engines.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important
and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some
testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
