When it is in 4x4 check and see if you can turn the front drive shaft. If you can the problem is in the front end. If you can't the problem is in the trasfercase.

Dtrannyman is correct you not only need to change flange yokes drive shafts but you also need to change or reflash ECM and the wire harness connectors are wired differently better to have 4l60e rebuild for severe service / towing and add an external grant and a transfer case coolers also an engine oil cooler is never a bad idea just make sure all are properly installed my 97 express 1500 van is set up like that and now has over 520000 mi on it 400000 on trans since last rebuild I also recommend mobile 1 synthetic fluid and Lucas additive

You said motor my guess is that you pinched the small terminal wire on the starter solenoid or maybe bent the heat shield on the starter when the wires or terminals are closed or shorted the starter cranks check there 1st and then back track the wires up from there

They are not interchangeable engines on your vehicle and unless you have thousands of $$$$ to spend on the conversion to make it work don't even consider it. It will be more economical to upgrade to another vehicle.

Possible that it can be due to belt slippage , mainly the fan belt. Stop the engine and check the belt PLAY, if this is more remove the fitting bolts of the tensioner and adjust the tension of tehbelt to tighten it further.
Now if there is still noise coming out while it accelerates then the clutch, brakes or wheel bearings need to checked.

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.

Open circuit to PCM - the engine computer grounds the other side of the injector there by turning it on an off very rapidly . This is call PWM - pulse width modulation . There is a transistor in the computer that does this . Or the PCM is bad !

The camshaft position sensor (also known as the distributor pickup) is inside the distributor which is driven by the camshaft gear and directly below the water pump, the water pump must be removed to access the distributor to change the sensor. Here is a picture of the camshaft position sensor.

Brake pads are rubbing,,, your front hub bearing is going out needs to be replaced asap,,replace the whole hub assy,,, new brake pads too

I believe the tail shafts are different and can't be interchanged.

Check the heater core it has a leak in it. Is the radiator losing antifreeze or a small amount at a time. Then it would be the heater core if no other leaks are showing.

sounds like the ignition tumbler. if it is in park and you can't turn key back its the tumbler will have to replace the ignition tumbler and you can get it re keyed to your old key so it should not be to bad

Sounds like the shift interlock mechanism. Have to step on brake to get it to shift. Check proper voltage circuit to brake switch. Check applicable fuse.
