there should be an emissions sticker on the hood or the radiator support to show you where they go,or you can go pick up a repair manual for about $20 with diagrams in it to show where they go,hope this helps

I'm GUESSING... fuel pressure regulator<?>.

The ignition module is not getting power or ground one . The module can be good and if not getting power or ground can not work correctly .

i would see if coil is crack even a hair line crack can cause hesitating under load if you cant see a crack wait till dark and look at it

The ecm fuse also powers the pass-key module on the key barrel. See diagrams below. I recommend you probe the starter enable relay socket to see if it is getting the ground signal from the pass-key decoder whole someone tries to start the car.

I had the same problem with the tach on my 92 Camaro. Tried the resistor fix but it didnt work. Finally found a tach board at the junkyard that worked for about a year. what's wrong with my car? You looking for a magical fix ? There are none ! Testing using electric test equipment an check the fuel pressure an flow with the proper tools , also hooking up an obd1 scan tool an checking sensor data . Are you familiar with obd1 ? Electronic fuel injection an all the sensors involved ? mass air flow , crankshaft postion , Cam position , MAP sensor , engine coolant temp. sensors , Ignition control module . Any one of these being bad could be the cause . Are you willing to replace all of these till you fix it . Do yourself a favor an take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop , because without testing all you'll get here is guessing without testing .

tune up-read your plugs and then check your timing. use timing light and double check with scan tool-most 91 305's were high outputs which
requires higher octane than regular (fuel grade revelatnt to compression ratio and altitude) you may want to check fuel pressure could be a clogged filter or bad pump.

Make sure it has not been rewired

whatever you did to them when you switched the motor because you didnt need to touch those

I would get the alternator checked to make sure it has good voltage. It might be too weak to recharge the battery while running. The other issue could be a bad voltage regulator.

Check your fuses

I had an 86 that used to do that all the time and I replaced the starter and then it worked fine

Possible neutral safety switch failed if its an automatic, or inhibitor switch if standard trans. Does it have an alarm ? Did you get the ign switch in properly, if its the style that mounts down low on the column,loosen the screws and slide it back toward steering wheel and recheck for start

ignition switch shouldn't be the cause of your overheating problems you verify the radiator fan motor is working by jumping the 2 terminals to the battery?

My info says upper engine, center, close to water outlet, for the coolant temp sensor. If your not sure look up wiring diagram for that sensor, note the wire colors. Autozone.com has free wiring diagrams as well as bbbind.com

check the key I have 1992 camaro rs I took it some where and parked it came out and went to start it and it didnt do anything key would turn over no sound no lights nothing. My key had that anti left chip pretty exspensive to replace key needs to entergrated into the comupter. Just a thought.

Adjust idle speed back down
Clean fuel filter and check fuel pump

as it is the basic 305 block the differences may be fuel injection over carburettor which may require sensor attachments but basically the engine should just slot in place.
