My check engine light is on it just started

Some local car parts stores will let you borrow an ODB II diagnostic reader so you can find out what the computer is complaining about; others will even run the test for free because they hope to sell you the repair parts. Until you do that, we have no idea what is going on unless there are other noticeable symptoms.

2003 gmc yukon denali tailgate

Hi, I see this problem occurring all the time in GM vehicles. There is solution with pictures that should help you fix the problem. I'm not sure if your rear tailgate cover has an access slot some where near the lock mechanism as others do, but you may want to try this site a read it thoroughly. Also read the comments that other vehicle owners have added that allow access to the locking mechanism. Depending on the type of trim you have on the tail gate, will be the deciding factor on how you would access the lock mechanism and /or cable.

Hello-I have an 06 Yukon Denali and the rear

It should still be able to be locked and unlocked by the key, but if you mean locking by the remote, then the actuator is bad. These can be purchased from a dealership, parts yard, or I prefer to buy from Ebay. If you go to Ebay, just look up 2006 Yukon actuator. You may get a better price also.

Replace front round shaped daytime driving light

There are two pins on the righ and left side of each Headlight. Turn the pins forward then pull all the way up and out. The Headlight should easily come out. You now will have complete access to your daytime running light bulb socket. Twist out and replace bulb. To replace assembly simply go in reverse order keeping in mind that the holes need to be lined up when inserting pins.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe.

Oil light comes on,low oil pressure,

HI, could be failure of the engine oil pump.. if you are still running around in the vehicle it might be the sensor on the engine block that is faulty, cause without oil pressure your engine will seize up and that's expensive.what about a good oil change and a nice new oil filter, could do wonders ?.good luck.

My 2004 yukon denali only heats up once i start

Yes, it sounds like your thermostat is stuck in the open position.

Your thermostat is located under a metal housing on the top of the engine. The upper radiator hose connects to this housing. To change the thermostat you basically need to drain the radiator after your engine is cold, disconnect the upper radiator hose from the engine, and remove the bolts from the small housing. replace the thermostat, and clean the surfaces on both sides and replace the gasket too. reinstall the housing, attach the hose, and refill the radiator. start the engine, warm it up and check for leaks, then re check the coolant level after the engine cools off again
