My yukon 2006 lift gate
Hi,
I have had several of the Tahoes with the same issue... the fault is
with the lock/unlock actuator inside the rear door. if it fails and
doesn't move the release on the latch... the door doesn't operate
properly. What you will need to do is to remove the upper trim
panel by pulling it off the door towards the front of the vehicle (it's
held in by clips) and then pry/pull back the lower to access the
actuator and move the arm and release the door.after you get it open and replace the lock actuator for the liftgate. This should take care of your issue.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Tighten gas cap and then
Doesn't completely sound like a fuel pump problem...sounds like a vacuum line problem .... check your pcv ...and vacuum lines and when was your fuel filter last changed and how many miles are on the car...your fuel pressure regulator solenoid needs to be dry on the vacuum side too...diaphram could be leaking but if you can't find an obvious problem I would definiately find a qualified mechanic to dive into it...do you have access to a scan tool to read the trouble codes?
When i go to start
Battery is dead. Try jumpstarting the truck. The ticking is relays trying to close, but not having enough power to stay closed.
My power steering is low
I would get power steering fluid and not substitute ATF... I'm sure there's a fuel station or convenience store nearby you can locate PS fluid from. Also when you top it up, with it running turn steering from stop to stop (side to side) not holding at stops for anything longer than a second or two to get air out of system, then retop.
No heat
Please check your heater elements for defective. Check also power supply and its controller for malfunction
Cooling system fan wont start
First make sure all the cooling fan fuses and relays are good and the cooling fan itself is good..to test the fan, you will need to remove the connector from the fan and hook up the fan directly to the battery if it comes on then the next thing if that don't work is to have the temperature sensor checked(there may be two on the engine(one for cooling fan and one for eng temp gauge)). Aside from these..if all else fails, check all of the wiring to make sure there are no breaks..etc..
My remote for my 2007
Sounds like the battery in the key fab is going bad. I would replace the battery first then go from there. The batteries will hold residual power and allow signal to be sent but the battery does not have enough charge to continue to work.

2006 GMC Yucon Denali XL driver and passenger
Get yourself a repair manual on ebay, they cost less than a tank of gas. If the dealer told you which part is bad, then have him order it for you, this is not going to be a parts store item. This is a really common problem, like sitting on a toaster or electric blanket that you keep outside and use every day.
Anything that gets hot and cold over and over is going to get brittle and break.
"traction active" on dash
that is a feature that gives better traction in wet or snow/ice weather. my 05 has a button to the right and below the radio area. its a car and squiggle line. on my vehicle if it is lighted then it is on. push the button and the light goes off then it is off
