This just shows you have a chevy truck). There is a worn or broken gear on the recirculate door under the dash. Easiest thing is just to disconnect it to stop the racket. If you have really small hands and break your arm in 2 places you might be able to repair it.

There is a reservoir under the hood that stores power steering fluid. That is where you add the fluid. Most likely, yours will be located directly behind a drive belt pulley, attached directly to the power steering pump, and the cap should be marked for power stering fluid. It will contain a dipstick that has marks stating minimum and maximum fluid levels with the fluid either hot or cold. If you have to add to it often, you have a leak that needs to be repaired.

I'd be willing to bet your dash lights don't work either when you turn the headlight on.change the headlight switch, it has a short, it's only about 11 dollars at advance auto, and is fairly easy to replace. my 93 chevy did same thing, changed headlight switch, problem solved

I would check the fuel pump relay first. You should have some fuel pressure in the lines when you turn the key on. The relay is powered for 3 seconds to boost pressure until the engine starts. The relay may not be working or the check valve in the pump may be letting fuel back into the tank which would cause the pressure to drop to zero when the engine is off. You should have at least 15psi with a TBI system and 35psi with MFI.

Sounds like the brake pedal is out of adjustment to the brake light switch. The brake light switch sends power to the solenoid that locks the shifter in park.Check the switch.
