Car doesn't start. when ignition is turned (new ignition) I hear a relay chatter and my horn sounds intermittely, Battery is new & tested goo

The chatter is due to low voltage. Check all the connections. The battery may have corrosion that lowers the voltage.

My Neon. I had trans. flushed and fliter/fluid changed. Now trans. wont go into gear, have to rev engine and back off while in drive to get low to engage. over a certain speed ****** slips out again.

That proves my point that flushing is not a good ideaThe flushing is not your problem entirelyIt caused an already slipping transaxle to slip,to where you can no longer use itAny trans shop would have test driven & asked questions& not changed the fluidYou need a complete rebuild or remanNO FIX The fluid change cause the already burnt clutches tonot work at all due to the different oilOnly the old dirty oil had the ability to lock upthe clutches

Walking camshaft on 99 dodge neon

  • 1 Park your Neon on a level surface. Engage the parking brake. Open the hood and loosen the bolt on the negative battery cable terminal and pull the cable from the battery.

  • 2

Remove the Neon air filter by undoing the side clips and lifting the cover of the air filter off. Pull the air filter from the bracket. Undo the clip on the air filter hose and pull the hose off the inlet. Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the four bolts holding the air filter bracket in place and pull the bracket from the engine

    3

  • Locate the camshaft position sensor. It will be at the rear of the cylinder head, centered on where the air filter housing was about midway down. It will look like a black plastic square (4"x4") and have four bolts holding it to the engine.

  • 4

Disconnect the wiring of the sensor from the wiring harness feeding into the car's electrical system. Press in the tabs at the sides of the connector and pull the two halves apart to do this.

  • 5

Remove the four bolts holding the sensor in place and remove the sensor from the engine.

  • 6

Clean the engine of any gasket material from the old sensor by scraping the surface gently with a paint scraper.

  • 7

Install the new sensor by placing it in the same position as the old one, replacing the bolts and then connecting the wiring harness. Replace the air filter bracket, hose, filter and cover. Reconnect your battery and you are done.

  • buy F150 Parts.
