YEA, REPLACE EGR VALVE, ALSO, REPLACE AIR & FUEL FILTER, OXYGEN SENSOR SHOULD ALSO BE REPLACED !!!!! DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR CODES ARE @ THIS TIME, BUT TAKE TO A AUTOPARTS STORE, THEY CAN PULL THEM & LET YOU KNOW ! MISFIRE MAY BE YOUR KNOCK SENSOR, ACTING LIKE A MISFIRE . EGR VALVE IS KNOWN TO GET CLOGGED UP, SEVERELY ! MAP SENSOR MAY BE ACTING UP ALSO, ALL SENSORS WORK TOGETHER, IF ONE STARTS GOING BAD THE OTHERS TRY TO ALONG WITH THE COMPUTER TRY TO COMPENSATE, YOU ONLY NOTICED IT AFTER FREEWAY, BECAUSE @ HIGHER THROTTLE, IT WILL NOT SHOW UP, THE TRUTH CAME OUT WHEN YOU GOT OFF THE FREEWAY ! VERY CONDISENDING , ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU WHERE HELPING TO BLOW OUT THE ENGINE TO RUN BETTER,. YOU SHOOK SOMETHING LOOSE. BETTER AFTER FREEWAY, THEN ON IT.

2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0 Won't turn over

I have seen many ign switchs. Check to see if the theft doesn't flash when you try to start. It is still posable that the starter is going. Have someone crank the engine. Check for power on the purple wire. If there is power and the it does not crank. Check that the big wire has a soild 12 volts. You can use a screw driver and jump the purple and the big 12v battery at the starter and it should turn on if not replace the starter

So now i'm adding to my problem. First the panel read passenger door open and the interior lights stayed on while driving. My husband hasn't had time to fix, so I had to drive it anyway. No

Fuel gauge issue : this could be the fuel level sensor on the tank. its only a minor thing. with in regards to the lights it sounds like there is a wire that is shorting out causing it to stay on but take it an electrician and they should be able to test for this, and also the light switch could be faulty aswell and wont let the light turn off

Dash reads passenger door open when it is closed and interior lights stay on while driving

The door switch has been integrated into the latch mechanism on many GM vehicles, but I believe the switch can be replaced seperately. You will have to pull of the door trim panel to get at it,so you can probably do it yourself, depending on your skill level.
