A/c blows hot air on

Alright before narrowing down the exact problem, I need the following questions all answered and anything else you may be able to specify that you think would be helpful.

1. Does the a/c work on the passenger side or does it blow warmer than usual still?

2. While running the car (or truck), please specify what it is too, Does the compressor (this is the a/c compressor which will be connected to a pulley on the engine) engage while the engine is running? It should engage and disengage while the a/c is running. If it doesn't, then check the fuse and relay for the a/c.

Let me know what you find so far.

I need instructions on how to change out the

Hello Steve...The lock cylinder will come out if you can turn the ignition switch. You have to remove the bezel around the steering colunm, the plastic trim behind the steering wheel. There is a small hole on top of the ignition lock housing, you need to turn the ignition to the run position, move the shifter to drive(so the starter does not enegage) use a small pick to push in the small hole and turn the ignition to the start position. The lock cylinder should now slide out.
I will post a schematic.
You do not need to remove the steering wheel.

Happy Holidays...good luck, i hope this helps, please rate me a fixya.

I am looking for a wire on my 2004 gmc sierra 1500

for what? There is an ignition wire for you radio, but there are many other ignition power wires. Fuse box also is a good place to find an ignition power source, a $3 tester will tell you. I guess it just depends on what your trying to do.

My cruise control is not working but the light

The multi purpose wand the includes the cruise control, wipers, high beams and turn signal, might have a short in it. Since the light comes on at first and immediately goes off makes me think the fuses are fine and it just a capacitor inside that wand. GM wants almost 500 for the part on my 01 Sierra, but you can easily find them online for around $90

Where do you find this multi pupose wand?

At a GM Dealership, it is also called a combination turn signal lever. Similiar to this one, this is for an 01 Sierra:

Idle problem when brakes applied

Sounds like you have a vacume leak on your brake booster ....with engine running have someone press the brake while you listen on the driver side by the master cylinder the large vacume line going to the booster behind the master cylinder is most likely the vacume leak...and if so you can get what you need at your local parts store ...

My engine light has come on in my 2004 GMC crew

If the light was flashing when it came on, then it means your engine is misfiring.

A solid light can mean anything from a loose/faulty gas cap to a transmission issue.

This light comes on when the computer detects a fault of some sort in its diagnostic tests. If it keeps detecting this issue, the light will remain on. If the light turns off, then it has detected that the issue may no longer be present.

In order to find out what the exact reason was for your light, You need to have your car computer scanned to retrieve the code that the computer would have stored when the light triggered. Most garages will do this free of charge. The code will tell you what may have caused the light to initially turn on. Until you get this code, it's impossible to determine what parts need to be checked or replaced.

My a/c work but sometime it blows hot on the left side only it

Probably your left temp actuator failed internally. Check the right instrument panel junction block-right side, end of dash-to make sure connectors are fully seated. But thisis usually caused by a faulty temp actuator.
