2003 GMC Envoy Xl - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I have a 2003 envoy xl. heat and ac only come out driver side defrost & left vent.No air or heat out of driver or passenger floor .Passenger vent and defrost is cool air only
Air temperature and delivery are controlled via small actuators on the heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) box located behind the dashboard. These actuators operate doors inside the HVAC box in order to channel air through different passages to achieve the desired result. A "blend" door actuator can channel air through the heater core, around the heater core or a mix of these two to achieve the desired temperature. A "mode" door actuator can direct airflow to the ducts that lead to the defrost vent, front vent, floor vent or a mix between. When a vehicle has dual climate control (where driver and passenger sides of the vehicle can have different air temperatures) there can be multiple of actuators of each type which can make diagnosis difficult. The first step would be to retrieve diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from the HVAC Control Module using an advanced level scan tool; these codes help determine the location of the issue and if it's an electronic or mechanical failure. Electronic failures would include items such as HVAC control module failure, actuator circuit failure or actuator failure. Mechanical failures would include items such as actuator failure or internal HVAC box door failure. 2003 Envoy liftgate doesn't latch properly
I don't think the piece of rubber has anything to do with the functionality of the latch itself it usually there for keeping the latch quiet like no rattle or metal noise on the road.
Hope it helps
2003 GMC full size truck, check engine light stays
Chev is known for injector issues. You may have to remove the intake plenum and change one or 2 of the injectors. You can find them reasonably cheap online. You can test individual injectors with a small square 9 volt battery - never use a 12 volt car battery on electronic components as it's too much amperage.
Check engine soon light stays on
There are almost 1,000 possible trouble codes that can turn on the check engine light. Asking us to guess which one caused your problem is a waste of time. Go to an auto parts store and have them scan the codes. Then post them here. THEN we can help

Ali, when you say won't start, do you mean it will not even crank, or does it crank and does not fire? Sounds like a computer or security issue .

How expensive of a fix could this be? I had my engine light checked today because my reduced engine light comes on then my car shuts off.
Okay, how expensive could this fix be ? The easy answer would be with a question... how long is a piece of string ? There is really no way to tell... But stick with me and I will try to help you, as well as give you the greatest feeling of all. The ability to fix it yourself. This happens a lot to people who are mostly just drivers, not so much mechanics. The P 1515 code and the P 1516 code are both telling you the throttle positioning sensor isn't in the right place for the way the engine is running. Since it isn't running they most likely are just telling you that exactly... You are giving it gas but it isn't revving up like it should. So don't worry about those two yet...Now the P1345 is the Crankshaft/Camshaft positioning sensors telling they are not quite in line as they should be. This could mean it might need a look at the timing gears or chain or whatever it has to keep the valves and the pistons in tune in order to fire and expend the exhaust correctly. Look at your owners manuel and it will tell you how many miles your vehicle has when it is time to have this service done... But first before you do anything else.... Lets look about the P0014....This could fix the whole problem and if it does we will be done. Go out to your vehicle and CHECK THE OIL.... IF IT IS A QUART OR MORE LOW... THERE IS A SAFE SENSOR THAT CUTS OFF THE ENGINE... IT IS FOR THE PEOPLE TOO BUSY TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE STANDARD MAINTENANCE THAT YOUR MACHINE SO SORELY NEEDS... Try this and don't put more oil in it than it needs. This is almost worse than not enough. To check the oil just pull out the dip stick and wipe it very clean.... Then put it back in all the way, and pull it back out carefully, and notice where the bottome of the stick is wet with oil or dry. It will tell you how low it is. Then put exactly enough oil in it to register full on the dip stick. Hopefully this will conclude our troubles and you can be on your way. Thank you sir and good luck to you. Please let me know if it fixes it. If not we will go to the next step....If it does I will give you some tips and secrets to keep your baby going for a long time @_@ I am watching for you..
Heat blowing cold
If your settings are correct and the engine is warm, it will be the thermostat.
One other it could be is a cylinder head Gasket. More than likely its your settings or thermostat
How do I set the clock
On the factory radio you need to use the seek (minutes) and scan (hours)...you need to turn the power off to the radio only...Press clock button, then move up and down using seek/scan...Should be in your owners manual too. Hope this helps.
