You need to make sure that the engine has what an engine needs to run. The obvious ones are fuel and spark. Make sure there is at least 40LBS of fuel pressure at the injector rail when cranking. If so, you will need to make sure the injectors are opening. If you verify that the engine is getting fuel you need to make sure there is fire to the plugs when cranking. If it is getting fuel and spark, you need to make sure there is enough compression for the engine to run. And lastly, if it has everything else it needs to happen at the correct time.

The resistor pack is to help control fan speed. Either your temp control door is stuck/unplugged which doesn't seem likely with rear blowing hot too. I would check all connections on the starter large terminal,including the fusible links at the starter first.

cant see how the visor recovering is related to the failure unless you poked around electronic bit in the middle and or the roof liner did a fuse blow

licence plate bulb is on the same circuit as the tail lights if you have tail lights but no number plate light ,then problem is in the bulb holder or wiring

I suggest that the DEALER you called either lied to get you off the phone because he knew you were not going to bring your truck in for him to rob you blind on. OR the DEALER you called made a mistake cause he doesn't know what he is talking about and doesn't want to admit it. Happens all the time. do some more research OR just get you a Chilton and Haynes , thats what i do, I use those two manuals for every car I have to work on. the reason I use TWO? seems that when one is unclear about something , the other is Christal clear. No kidding. and on top of that, you can usually get the manuals in great shape on eBay Or even check them out at the library. at the store retail those two books are about 15.00 a pop. still a very good investment I say.

I had this problem on a Ford! There is a flexible cable most likely from your transmission lever to your transmission. These wear out, and develop kinks, you will most likely have to replace it. However if you are a dyi guy inspect it thoroughly, you may fix it with Gorrilla Tape?
