You shouldn't have any trouble bolting up to your existing transmission. I would try to get an engine from as close to your 1993 as possible because you will have to bring the computer with it and that would cut down on a lot of potential wiring splicing.
I would also give serious thought to using a 305 instead of a 350. You will only lose about 20 HP but it will be noticably better on gas mileage, especially if you are going to use it as a daily driver. Hope this helps.

You can buy an adapter to put the aftermarket stereo in the old hole. They sell them at WALMART and parts stores, etc. or online at crutchfield.com

Make sure you still have spark. If so when you changed the pump did it have a fat hose from the pump to the metal line in the tank. I have seen the hoses get splits in them and let fuel leak out back into the tank.

Losing battery power over night

Hi!!
That's usually a sign of a failing battery. To make sure, take your vehicle to an AutoZone, Checkers or similar Autoparts store to have the Charging System checked for FREE.
Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

I have back fireing at half idiol and then it dies

check your plug wires they may be grounding out. If you just did a spark plug change make sure the wires were put back in the correct order. Also it could be that your timing is off.

I have no fuel coming

It is probably your fuel sending unit. Take a hammer and hit the bottom of the tank a couple of times and try to start. if it does you need to replace the sending unit.

My truck overheats in 5 to 10 minutes. Where is

To find the thermostat follow the top radiator hose. It should go into a metal fitting that has a metal clamp around it. There may be 2 bolts holding in place. Make sure that the engine is cool before trying to remove the hole. Place a container under the truck to catch the liquid. Slowly remove the hose. You should see the thermostat at the bottom of the thermostat housing. If you remove the thermostat be sure to have a new gasket. The thermostat should be less than $100.00. good luck

Try rocking the truck back and forth with the motor not running. That may be enough to get the truck to pop out of gear.

My truck is leaking all

1. check the hose going into the caliper or if the caliper is leaking. Try tightening the bolts on the oil pan. Be careful that you do not break the bolt head off. Look at the bottom of the radiator to see if the clamp needs tightening. Slowly tighten the clamp. To see where the oil is coming from spray some degreaser and spray it off after about 10 minutes. Then start the vehicle and let it warm up for a few minutes. Use jack stands and wheel chocks before attempting any work. A vehicle falling canruin your day.

Transmission seems to shutter in overdrive

this can be caused by a few things, like bad lockup seloniod or converter or weak trany, the first thing i would try that sometimes works but is a 50/50 shot is a BG trany service, google it to read up on it, it a machine filled with 16 quarts of fluid and start by adding a cleaner into trany and run a few minutes even drive it then hook machine up to lines and start the engine it then begins to remove the old fluid while putting in the new, its like a transfusion, when it done a conditioner is added, i've done a lot of these and some times it help and sometimes it does not, but i would start there, this runs about $150.00, good luck and hope this helps,
