My truck wont start. I thought it was the battery

Hit the the bottom of the starter motor with a hammer while someone is holding the switch in the crank psition. If it cranks then you need a starter. Also you can check with a test light or meter and see if thereis voltage at the starter solenoid. The big wire shold always have voltage and the small wire should only have voltage when the switch is in the crank position.Good luck.

Oil cooler above oil filter is leaking how do you

There is a spring clip that holds them in. If you buy a new line assembly, they usually come with a plastic tool to release the clips. Once the clips are released, you usually have to pull and wiggle the line to get it to come out of the fitting.

Driver side back wheel locked up,even when in

Are you somewhere where it is really cold? you could have a frozen e-brake cable on one side. If that is not possible, You may have a wheel cylinder that is seized so that the brakes wont retract, or a bad axel bearing

Ok im diving and the hole truck vibrates whats

hmm. does it seem like it's coming from any certain spot?
could be a tire wobble..
or check your U-joints on your rear drive shaft.
see if they need to be replaced. that's what I'm guessing it will be.

Back tire locking up wondering

It could be the cable, but usually it's a bad brake caliper, if you have 4 wheel disc brakes. If you have rear drum brakes, the brake shoe retainers could be bent or shoes are adjusted too tight to the drum. Hope this helps :)

Back passenger wheel locking up

Hello chrisz28: My name is Roger and I will help with your question. Most problems that cause a wheel to lock up are associated with brake problems. Look at the wheel in question. Do you see any grease or liquid on it or the backing plate. If it is wet or looks damp you will need to remove the tire and wheel in order to remove the brake drum. After the drum is removed look at the brakes are they coated in liquid or in heavy oily grease. Liquid would be brake fluid, heavy oil would be axle grease. Axle gear lube would also be slimy and caked on everything. The axle grease would be a bad bearing and axle seal and most likely a bad axle. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using and trusting Fix Ya. Roger

Can I replace my 700r4 in my 1992 GMC Sierra with

I did, but I had to exchange the drive shaft b/c the length was wrong. the R4 has OD, and the 350 does not, making the 350 shorter. It's no a great idea. I was unhappy with the 3 speed 350 because of very poor gas mileage, so I went back to the r4. I had a bit of an issue with the speedo cable and the tranny crossmember mount too. It's not really worth it, but yes, you can do it, but it's going to take fab work, and after my own ordeal, I'd not really suggest it. I was just trying to save a few bucks, and got myself into a world of hurt. lol you live , you learn. Unfortunately Fixya did not exist back then.
