HI there i see you replaced distributorcap . on distributor cap is two small screws on some caps the screws are too long and the has a gap and moister can effect the distributor. if so tack out and reuse old ones or tack back to store where you got them ok
a 700R4 is the same as a 4L60. if you have a large round plug on the passenger side of trans , thats a 4l60e and will not interchange (it's computer controlled)
Well in my years i have dealt with alot of no start issues but your sounds like a faulty crankshaft position sensor. that senors controls when to fire spark and to what cylinder to fire spark to.
Also the camshaft position sensor does the same thing they work hand in hand i would start with the crank sensor first as its normally cheaper.
I hope this helps you if so can you please leave 4 thumbs up it helps me continue to help you all
Your truck does not have a c3 transmission in it. That is an old Ford transmission. Yours should have a 4L60 transmission in it. I would say that your tranny is toast. You could pull the pan off and you will probably find parts and pieces.
4X4 ALWAYS GIVE A LITTLE MORE ROOM TO WORK DRAIN THE OIL TAKE OUT ALL THE BOLTS YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PRY THE PAN DOWN IF YOU NEED MORE ROOM JACK THE TRUCK A LITTLE WILE YOU HAVE THE PAN DOWN MAKE SURE TO SCRAPE THE ENGINE BLOCK AND PAN ALSO CLEAN THE PAN VERY WELL AND PAINT ORANGE THATS GM COLOR WHEN YOU ARE READY TO PUT THE PAN BACK IN USE PERMATEX (BLACK) IT WORKS VERY WELL AROUND OIL THE REASON FOR PAINTING IS TO CHECK FOR ANY LEAKS JUST TIGHTEN THE BOLTS DOWN TIGHT I HOPE THIS HELPS GOOD LUCK BOB
the pcm is the computer.its located under the dash on the passenger side.you don`t say what if this is a car or truck.same thing applies but some are behind the glove box, which will have to be removed to see the pcm.you can get a book from the library or buy one so you will know how and what wires you need to check.
13 is an O2 sensor circuit issue, 32 is the EGR-OBDI is not as precise as OBD!! but you should see if your egr is hooked up, or if there is a blown fuse for it-the O2 sensor might just be due for replacement, you could try to clean the codes first (disconnect the neg cable for 10 minutes) to see if they come back right away.
While you are checking things, make sure the fuel pressure regulator is not leaking or has gas in the vacuum hose that connects to it.
first go back and double check and make sure you wired it correctly, Did you gap your spark plug's i know a lot come allready set but don't take much. Also can check your coil and points if it has the. good luck to you.
the idle air control actuator is a common problem in this type of fuel injection an is mounted in the throttle body also the map sensor should be on top of intake make sure is connected right and have full vacum if so just tap on it with engine running and will miss if it is faulty please let me know if this helped or need further assistance i'll be glad to help.
OK, you need to be careful if you have to ask this. Serpentine belts use a large tensioner.
You can flex this tensioner with a breaker bar and a socket in order to get the belt back on.
After that, the tensioner regulates the belt, no other work needs to be done. Please note.
THE TENSIONER CREATES A GREAT DEAL OF PRESSURE ON THE BELT.
If you get your finger between a pulley and the belt and release the tensioner, you could loose a finger.
A novice mechanic can do a replacement just have someone with you incase you oops.
Here is a YouTube video of replacement. This guy uses a crescent wrench but I prefer a breakerbar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFP4blveiLI
Obd 1 cars have different ports depending on make. There are scan tools for Obd 1 and any good repair shop should have them. You can also buy simple make specific scan tools for many cars at advanced auto for $30-$50.
