Possibly a siezed fan, disconnect fan plug, run a wire from positive (+) battery terminal to fan and same on negitive (-) terminal, to the pins on the fan side of the plug dont touch them together while connected to battery, if fan goes it may be a coolant temp on the engine. bypass temp switch with a loop wire on to wiring harness side of the temp switch. Both fans usually only operate when a/c is on.

It should be inspected for replacement every 60,000 miles and replaced at 105,000 miles wheather it needs it or not.

every once in awhile my mazda will turn iver but wont start.. thier is no reading so my mechanic doesnt know..he said thier was no spark, and then all of a sudden it started he cant get a reading on it..this has happened to me 3 different times it will run for 3 days and then the next time it wont? is thier a sensor? that last 2 times i was driving in slusshy snow and the other day thier was alot of fog..so does it have to do with something getting too much moisture? how can i figure out what the problem is without spending alot of money?

It shouldn't be bad. Most valve covers are just a matter of taking it off, scraping off the old gasket material, apply a little gasket sealant gunk, put on a new gasket and tighten it back down.

So if you cant find it, how do you know its bad? The relays are on the RF fender, above the wheel, under the hood. The electrical diagrams lists 3 relays. They are all powered by the ENG fuse and its a 15 amp fuse. The fan is powered by the COOLING FAN fuse 30 amps. Power to the fan motor is on a BLUE/BLACK, BLUE/YELLOW and BLUE/RED wires, of course the BLACK wire is ground. Its a 2 speed fan. I would check for power to the fan motor first as with a car this old, the fan motor is usually worn out. If it does have power to it,m rap on the moto,r if it attempts to wrok, the motor is worn out.

they dont go often but infrequent oil changes extreme driving high mileage can increase the wear and possible break down of parts lifters like any other mechanical part can break or wear out

you should check timinh tensioner. thats probably the problem...

There is a small yellow rocker switch inside the glove box that locks a potential thief out of the trunk if he breaks into the cabin. Hit that switch in the other direction and it's fixed.

i think you have a vacumm leak po 170 is a lean code look for leaks also check and clean mass air flow sensor and you may have to take to dealer for that throttle screw that does not adjust the idle speed take carb cleaner and carfully spray around engine when running listen for change becareful around coils and exaust.

a transmission flush is a good place to start

in the back. open the trunk, remove the liner that covers the spare tire. you will see a round metal panel. coupla screws. it's under there. if you are going to change it, i STRONGLY recommend you pull out the back seat. actually, all you need to pull is the upper part, but the lower has to come out to get to the upper. then you will have a huge amount of room. otherwise, you can go thru the ski hole, or lie in the trunk, but you wont like it

when standing in front of the car, with the driver's side to your left, the bank closest to the radiator is cyl 2-4-6. the rear bank, closest to the firewall, is 1-3-5
