Mazda 626 2.2L Turbo 1989 - Alternator - Fuel Pump

Hi am just up the road on the SSC, it is easier to remove the alternator from underneath the vehicle & if you look under the carpet under the rear seat there is a plate which gives you access to the fuel pump cover in the tank. The pump can be accessed from there. If you want the workshop Manuals I have just uploaded them.
You can download the GD 626 Workshop manual & the Turbo supplement by going to the 626.net site.
Cheers

Adjusting brakes 1988 mazda capella

You are adjusting brakes, or need to know how to adjust brakes. In general, in between the two shoes on the back there is a screw with a star wheel on it that gets turned with brake pedal is pressed. Sometimes this screw hangs up from lack of turning and needs to be taken apart and lightly lubed. There is usually a plug that can be knocked out in the backing plate behind the shoes so this star wheel can be turned from under the car. Most cars if this screw is turning free can be adjusted tighter by simply backing up and pressing the brake pedal several times. That will keep pushing the star wheel and adjust the brake shoes out. I am talking about rear brakes in general and am thinking that the Mazda has some simularities.

I have a 1988 Mazda 626 turbo edition. just

it sounds as if the transmission might be slipping. Check the fluid level and condition. If the color is not a strong red color and more of a brown or black color, then you will need to replace the transmission. A fluid change at this point will not help you. good luck!

PLEASE HELP!! NOTHING works at all, but the head lights!!!

You have lost your main breaker--there is a fuse bank beside the battery and the main(black one) is held in place with 10mm bolts--pull back the cover and all will be evident. This fuse is the first thing to go when you reverse polarity--headlights are straight thru battery and will be all that's powered. Replace the main breaker!
