Need more info on vehicle. Like year make and model and engine size.

quarts of 10w 40w,unless the engine is worn,use 20w 50w to thicken the oil some.

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

NUMBER 1 POST ON DISTRIBUTOR CAP IS 1 OCLOCK POSITION FOR 2.5 ENGINE STANDING IN FRONT 12 OCLOCK POSITION STANDING IN FRONT. FOR 2.8 ENGINE. FOR THE 4.3 ENGINE 6 OCLOCK FACING FRONT OF ENGINE

Might just be the timing is off a bit, turn your distributor or if it has a carburator, the choke might need to be turned up.

It goes in the hole in the back of the intake,near the fire wall,you will have to align it as you put it in,Start by getting number one piston up all the way on the exhaust stroke.The harmonic balance pulley will have a mark on it,it will need to line up with the O on the timing mark tap,on the timing cover.Then drop the distributor in the hole,and make sure the rotor button will align(point at)the number one tower on the distributor cap.This will be where the plug wire fits on to,that goes to number one cylinder.I do not know what engine 4 cylinder,or 6 cylinder,but it aligns the same way,fire order,and such depends on witch engine you have,If you need more instruction,let me know,If this was helpful,please let me know,thank you.

If you just installed all these parts, it will take some cranking to get gas to motor. Otherwise check the pule from you ECM and check your 02 sensors as well

could be or possible a u-bolt malfunction where that springs is attached to the axle.

it does'nt tell you any spec's because you probly have self adjusting lifters A.K.A hydraulic lifters they pump up and take out the slack .just set the rockers properly and you should be goin again.. but if it is overhead cam and all the rockers are on a shaft then i'm guessing the intake would be around .010 thousandth's and the exaust would be more like .012 thousandths but good luck what ever your playing with .

sound like the problem is your vacuum control switch on the transfer case.

Follow the fuel tube along the undercarage and you should come to the filter and then all you do is unbolt the clamp and unbolt the filter and in goes the new one.

It will be on your dist cap you will see Tach on the cap right next to you ign feed..I hope this helps you?

change mass air flow sensor. auto wrecker would be your best bet.

youre either not getting enough spark or any spark at all or you may not be getting fuel...start off cheap by spraying starter fluid in it...just a few squirts and see if turns over...if so, youre not getting fuel

There are lots of possible causes. It could be either of the following:

1. Fuse
2. Valves in the transmission
3. The engine
4. The Oil - maybe it needs oil change
5. Broken vacuum hose.

Under the car, look for a missing or broken vacuum hose. It's supposed to connect to the transmission about 2/3 the way back on the right side. This hose may have fallen off, have a hole in it, or be disconnected from the vacuum source in the engine.

Fuseable link is coming of the battery terminal.

Open the hood of the GMC Jimmy. Check and clean both terminals.

You will need a DVM meter to do the test.

The simple way is to disconned the negative cable and ohm out each fusible link that extent from the positive connector.

You job will be a lost easier if you have a probe that can pintch though the insulation.

Otherwise you can strip a little insulation off and get the ohm reading and tape this secetion back with electrical tape.

Take your time and check all the fusible link.
