97 jetta gt 2.0 overheating

if the coolant is full and all the air is bleed out of the cooling system make sure the cooling fans turn on if not then check the relays and fuses and wiring. and if thats ok then use a block tester to check for a combustion leak. you can get a block tester for a parts store you simply install it in place of the radiator cap and run the car the chemical in the block tester will change color from blue to yellow if there is a combustion leak.

I PUT OIL IN MY CAR BUT ITS NOT STAYING IN THERE. WHERE IS IT GOING?I CAN SEE IT ALL OVER THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR BUT I CANT TELL WHERE ITS LEAKING FROM. PLEASE HELP

some cars have a plastic/rubber drainplug..occaisionally this will come out of its hole..also look under the car for a ripped open oilpan.. this happens when the car bottoms out on city streets..may take 2 people to find the leak..is the leak new oil or blackened oil.. put a clean cardboard under the car to see how much and where it comes from..

My vw jetta sounds like its out of timing!! it doesnt even wanna start!!

I'm not etirely sure what you mean by "out of timing" but I'll guess that you mean it's sputtering, misfiring, and running rough (when you can get it to start). If that's the case you likely have a fouled spark plug or a bad ignition coil (very common). You need to check with a VAG-COM diagnostic tool. You can borrow one for free from many autoparts stores (like Autozone). It will tell you exactly which cylinder isn't firing correctly.
