1996 MAZDA MPV HEAT WONT GET HOT ENOUGH

You need to put a higher temperature thermostat in. Try a 200 degree thermostat and make sure that you have a full radiator. Also you could dilute your antifreeze a little more than 50/50 . I would also try a 70/ 30 mix. Hope this helps.

THE HEATER WILL NOT GET HOT

You might have a bad thermostat, you might just be low on coolant, and check the actual radiator, not the plastic overflow tank. If both of those are fine, you could have a restricted heater core, you can check that by touching both heater core hoses, if one hose is hot and the other isn't, then it's clogged.

Mazda 1996 MPV automatic, What to do with Engine Light on and the OBD II display shows CAT and O2S Blinking, P0134,02 circuit no activity detected (Bank 1, Sensor 1) ? Thanks.

This is a V6 engine so I assume there is a sensor in each exhaust pipe. The code means the sensor is not switching from rich to lean as fast as the computer program is set for. Possible causes are a faulty sensor, injector problems, intake or exhaust air leaks, etc.You might try switching the O2 sensors from side to side and see if the problem moves to the other bank.I would guess your vibration is a warped rotor. An alignment problem would make the van pull and have no effect if you use the brakes.Keep in mind if you resurface the rotor and not the pads the problem may return.

My alarm is on but wont shut off

Use only your key to unlock, open the door, then lock and unlock the door again, then get in and start the car. This will reset it. Also, you can disconnect the battery and turn on the light to make sure you drain all the power from the system then reconnect the battery. And you might want to check the battery on your remote.

Engine light came on

Engine light could mean a lot of things. You need to have an On Board Diagnostic (OBD I scanner for 1995 and older model or OBD II scanner for 1996 and newer model) scanner and a car repair manual to decode the problem. You can also take the car to the automotive store for them to check for free.

The temperature gauge on my

This could be a few different things. First off I would make sure it's full of coolant. Low coolant will not let the temp sensor function correctly. The temp sending unit could be bad, or possibly unplugged. Hope this helps, TJ
