yes check your alternator yourb battery ,alternator, and starter should work in sync together

The 60amp fuse probably is in the circuit between the alternator and the battery. Which would be why the battery is not getting charged.Someone would need to check for a short in the wiring between the alternator and the battery.

Could be a problem with the linkage between the shifter and the transaxle, or a problem with the fork inside the transaxle.

fuel injected cars cannot vapor lock, so not the issue, when they replaced the fuel tank did they replace fuel pump? It should have been, but 2 things come to mind, they pinched wires when putting tank in and it shorts sporadically shutting off pump, look around with light and trace wires looking for any breaks in plastic coating, or fuel pump is failing.

The first thing you need to do is to take a good look at the front of the car, is the radiator full of bugs or dirt? Is the plastic air dam under the bumper still intact? (this directs air into the radiator) How long has it been since the thermostat has been replaced? Pull over as the car is getting hot and see is the electric cooling fans are running. Being an older car, the gauge may be wrong, if you have access to an infrared thermometer, check the temp of the lower radiator hose against the gauge to see if the gauge is correct.
