92 mx-3 code 3 and 34
You need to check the resistance for the ISC (Idle speed control) should be 10.7-12.3 ohms (at 68* F)
Check connector at ECU and make sure that connector doesn't have a broken wire to it. Make sure you have voltage at the connector with the key on.
Change alternator belt in a mazda mx-3
If your engine are the 1,6 l , it is the same engine as my MX5 91.
You have to remove power steering belt first if you have one. Loosen the mounting bolt located behind the pump pulley, then loosen the tensioner bracket bolts( one on the engine bracket and one in front of the adjusting bolt). After unscrew the adjusting bolt and push down the pump. Remove the belt.
Now, it is the alternator. Loosen the mounting bolt located under the alternator, then loosen the tensioner bracket, but only the only in front of the adjusting bolt. Unscrew the adjusting bolt and pull up the alternator and remove the belt.
When you tightening the new belt, the belt should be able to make a 1/4 turn, to make sure it is not to tight.
How to replace an alternator drive belt
You would begin by first removing the negative terminal of the battery. Then tuck the terminal in some area, so it won't flip back.
2. Unplug the alternator electrical connector, and remove the wire bolted to it.
3. Locate the adjuster bolt and nut, loosen both of them to the bearest minimum position, and push sideways to slacken the alternator belt. Slide belt off the pulleys, and take it out.
4. Locate the alternator pivot bolt, and loosen it and remove it.
5. Loosen the upper holding bolt of the alternator, and remove that as well.
6. Gently take out the alternator.
7. The alternator could be exchanged for a rebuilt one at any autoparts store.
**Important: Battery must be fully charged before installing a new alternator.
8. Reverse this procedure to install the new alternator belt.
All dash panel ( guages) stopped working, fuses
I've seen gauges stop working due to a bad battery terminal connection, albeit sporadically. Check to ensure the connections are sound, that there's no corrosion around the terminals. If that fails, it could possibly be a fuse, I'm not sure where it would be on your car, but there's normally more than 1 fuse box, so unless you know which one you're looking for, it might be a game of hide-and-seek. Failing that, it might be the gauge cluster is toast.
My heater wont turn on
check for power at motor, may have a bad motor or blower motor resistor, start ther good luck.
Car kangaroos when taking off in 1st and 2nd
When you hop into the car you may need to jump on the revs a bit more to be able to bound off the line smoothly. Was the car built in a leap year?.Nah.Seriously.If the motor is out of tune the engine will behave like you said.Get that checked and also ask the shop to check the clutch is operating smoothly and not shuddering.Take-off revs is around 1100-1200 revs min. Hope this helps
Mazda MX3 fuel filter replacement
On the V6, there are two, one in the gas tank (more a screen than a filter) and an inline one in the engine compartment. Chances are it's the second one you want, it's located on the firewall just behind the exhaust headers, underneath and central from the battery tray (US spec anyhow). It's a royal pain to get to, you are going to get gas on you, the process involves removing the battery and tray, and going under and over the car a lot to get to it, but it's a few clamps and a few (3 or so) support bracket screws once you get to it. It's about the size of a soda can (maybe a little smaller, I don't remember exactly). Read the "online shop manual" at "mx-3.com" under the Technical section, you will want/need to depressurize the injectors before releasing the hoses if you don't want gas to spray everywhere. Once you have followed the steps, keep a bucket under the car to catch the seemingly 200 gallons of gas in the fuel line (from the engine side, really probably 20oz or so), and have a way to either pinch off or plug the fuel tank side of the line or it will siphon all the gas out of the tank. Other than that it's just a bunch of knuckle busting in close quarters.
HOT TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR BELT
To replace it i cut the old belt off saves time,a belt winding diagram sticker if still there should be under your engine bay somewheres,if not make note of it u draw it take a picture.it can be confusing if you dont get the diagram rite.Theres a spring loaded idelar arm that keeps tension on the belt you will have to put a wrench on it to losten it up putting thr new belt on two people come in handy here put belt on as on diagram or yours and relesase the idelar arm slowly it should be very tight after that.
Need to know which fuse to replace in 92 mazda
Here is the best way:
At your parts store, they have a tool with the fuses that reads continuity in the fuse, so you can test for bad ones without having to remove them. They cost about $5 and they are SWEET. The box will have a legend on it, though, and you can pick which fuse sounds right and pull it to see if the fuse is bad.
Hope this helps,

1992 mazda mx3 heater blows warm, but not hot.
Hot air is dependent on the coolant temperature and the heater core.
There are several things that can cause your problem. The easiest to
check is the coolant level in the radiator\reservoir. There must be
enough coolant to flow freely between the engine and the heater core.
The next is the thermostat. If the thermostat is not closing it would
prevent the the coolant from reaching a high enough temperature to
allow for hot air. The thermostat is not expensive or difficult to
replace. The third thing is a blockage in the heater core. Flush the
coolant system properly can sometimes take care of this. If it does not
the only alternative is a new heater core.
Hope this helps.
